How to Get Sarah’s Fuel Tank in Days Gone Remastered

In the pre-apocalyptic days of the Freaker invasion in Days Gone, Deacon was gifted a personalized gas tank for his motorbike from his wife Sarah. At the onset of the main storyline, his bike sustains damage and he is forced to abandon it in search of a new fuel pump. Unfortunately, before he could retrieve his bike, it fell into the hands of Copeland’s group.

Throughout the original game of Days Gone, Deacon could upgrade various bike components but regrettably, players couldn’t retrieve Sarah’s distinctive fuel tank during the main narrative. However, in the remastered version of Days Gone, players now have the opportunity to reacquire Sarah’s fuel tank, and this guide will walk you through the process.

How to Get Sarah’s Fuel Tank in Days Gone Remastered

In the main narrative of Days Gone, players won’t come across Sarah’s fuel tank. But if they have the upgraded version of the game, they can acquire it by engaging in the Horde Assault mode, which is unique to that version.

In Days Gone Remastered Horde Assault, achieving Reputation Phase 1 rewards you with Sarah’s fuel tank. This tank can be utilized as a custom part across all game modes, such as Story Mode. Additionally, players will earn the “Sarah’s Gift” trophy upon unlocking it.

How to Reach Reputation Phase 1 in Days Gone Remastered Horde Assault

To begin with the Horde Assault game mode within Days Gone Remastered, players will need to invest some time initially. Only after reaching Reputation Phase 1 can they unlock Sarah’s fuel tank.

In Horde Assault, there are initially four maps that players encounter when they first play this game mode. However, three of these maps are locked at the start. To unlock the second map, gamers need to accumulate a sufficient score, reaching the set target. After achieving this in the second map, they must do the same again to access the third map, and so forth. In simpler terms, players must progressively increase their scores in each map to gradually unlock more maps.

As a dedicated gamer, Crater Lake is the fourth and final region in my Horde Assault journey. During the initial Reputation Phase 0, I aim to accumulate a target score of 800,000 points. If I manage to reach this milestone, I’ll boost my reputation and unlock Sarah’s fuel tank. Here are the target scores for each map during Reputation Phase 0:

1. Crater Lake: 800,000 points
2. Volcano Ridge: 650,000 points
3. Ashlands: 450,000 points
4. Lava Fields: 300,000 points

  • Cascade map: 400,000
  • Belknap map: 500,000
  • Lost Lake map: 750,000
  • Crater Lake map: 800,000

Players should consider using negative injectors to increase the multiplier at the end of the run.

When players advance to the first stage of Reputation, they’ll need to rescore every map at a greater point threshold to boost their reputation phase and gain access to additional prizes.
