How to Get Savannah’s Journal (& What It’s Used For) in Outer Worlds 2

I’m really excited about how much choice The Outer Worlds 2 gives you! It feels like you can really play the character you want, making decisions based on your own values. But sometimes getting those choices open to you isn’t as simple as just talking to someone. You might need to find specific info or pass certain skill checks first. There’s this one item, Savannah’s Journal, that doesn’t seem like a big deal at first, but trust me, it can seriously impact a major story decision. So, I wanted to put together a quick guide explaining how to find Savannah’s Journal in The Outer Worlds 2 and what it’s actually for.

How to Get Savannah’s Journal in The Outer Worlds 2

You can find Savannah’s Journal by pickpocketing Savannah Lockwood at the Excogitation Chapel.

You can find the Excogitation Chapel northeast of Fairfield on Paradise Island, which is where you start after the first mission. If you’ve progressed in the main story and completed the Vox Relay, you might have already unlocked a fast travel point there.

After locating the Excogitation Chapel, find Savannah seated near the back. To finish the ‘Stalking an Associate of Angry Ascendance’ side quest, you’ll need to speak with her. But first, jump over the bench she’s sitting on. If you haven’t already, make sure you have the Pickpocket perk, which requires one perk point and a Lockpick skill level of 1.

To steal from Savannah, press X if you’re playing on Xbox, Square on PlayStation, or E on PC. Once you’ve pickpocketed her, you can take and read Savannah’s Journal to learn more about De Vries.

If you’ve progressed far enough in the main story to face De Vries, you won’t find Savannah at the chapel anymore.

What Is Savannah’s Journal Used For in Outer Worlds 2?

An Important Piece of the De Vries Puzzle

During the ‘Stalking an Associate of Angry Ascendance’ quest, you can find more details about De Vries by reading Savannah’s Journal. If you couldn’t access the terminal at De Vries’ house, the journal can help you get Savannah to confess she knows him.

During your conversation with Savannah, be sure to choose the ‘Seem like knowing her was unsettling for you’ option. This will give you important details you’ll need later when dealing with De Vries in the main story. Getting this information is crucial if you want to achieve the best possible outcome with De Vries and his part of the main quest.
