Where To Find Snake Scales in Grounded 2 The Toxic Tangle

Snake Scales are a rare item dropped only by the Snake Colossus, also called Garter Snake, which has recently appeared in Brookhollow Park. If you want to craft new armor, weapons, or buildings, you’ll need to find and defeat this snake first.

Make sure your Omnitool Hammer is upgraded to level 3 before proceeding, or you won’t be able to get this resource. It’s also very dangerous to collect, so stock up on healing items!

To find it, head to the Croquet Court area on the northeast side of Brookhollow Park. Look for a path or trail on the ground, climb up to a higher spot, and then wait for the snake to appear.

Okay, so here’s the deal with the Snake in this game – when you see its head coming, don’t try to block it! Instead, jump on its back and enjoy a free ride around the Croquet Court. Just be warned, it’s gonna be a wild one! Every time someone hits the scales to remove them, the Snake will thrash around, trying to buck you off. It’s a bit tricky, but super fun!

Riding the Snake can be dangerous – hitting anything like buildings or the ground will cause a lot of damage. To avoid losing progress, it’s a good idea to build a Lean-O nearby as a respawn point. This way, if you fall off the Snake due to its shaking, you can quickly get back to collecting resources.

As a long-time player, I’ve noticed this awesome creature appears pretty consistently – once early in the morning and again right before it gets dark. The best part? Every time it respawns, its rideable scales come back too, so you can jump on and farm resources all over again! It’s a reliable way to get things done.

Each Snake Run yields 4 Scales, which are essential for crafting the valuable Snake Armor Set and constructing related buildings. Players will need to collect many of these Scales.
