Arc Raiders features many different maps, each filled with dangerous ARC enemies that Raiders must overcome. These enemies, along with other online players, can make exploring these maps quite difficult. Players will need to complete various quests on each map, even with these threats present.
One of the tasks in the game is called the Trifecta, and it asks players to find Snitch Scanners. These scanners aren’t just for the quest; players also need them to improve their Utility Station. Here’s a guide on how to obtain Snitch Scanners in Arc Raiders.
How to Get Snitch Scanners in Arc Raiders
The best way to get Snitch Scanners is by defeating Snitches. These flying drones are unique because they don’t attack you directly. Instead, they scan for life signs. If you activate their sensors and can’t destroy them quickly, they’ll call for help. It’s usually best to avoid fighting the reinforcements they summon – typically one Hornet and two Wasps – on your own.
Facing three of these enemies in the open is a quick way to get defeated, unless you can find cover and have good equipment – which isn’t common. If you can’t destroy the flying Snitches, they’ll escape, and you’ll lose access to the Snitch Scanners. The best way to take them down is to use two weapons and switch between them when one runs out of ammo. The Ferro and Anvil are excellent early-game choices because they have strong armor-piercing capabilities, making these enemies easy to handle.
After you defeat Snitches, you can collect items from them just like any other enemy. They always drop a Snitch Scanner. These items are easy to collect because you can see Snitches from a distance and mark them, which causes them to come towards you. Then, you can simply shoot them down to get the Scanner.
Open maps make it easier to find Snitches, such as the Blue Gate or Dam Battlegrounds.
Snitch Scanners can be broken down into ARC Alloys and Electrical Components. But what really sets them apart is how you can use them. Throw a Snitch Scanner and it will call in ARC reinforcements to attack that location. If you have several, you can throw them one after another at an enemy group and let the ARC forces quickly defeat them.
