In StarRupture, as you advance through each company, you’ll need to craft increasingly complicated resources to finish missions. Some of these just require combining materials you’ve already processed from raw ores, but others need you to learn new recipes. That’s where blueprints come in – they unlock those recipes for your crafting machines. If you’re looking for the Synthetic Silicon blueprint in StarRupture, this guide will tell you exactly where to find it.
StarRupture Synthetic Silicon Blueprint Location
You can find the Synthetic Silicon blueprint easily at the Griffith’s Research Outpost, which is part of the GRO “Mythic Cry” and located far north of where you begin the game. I’ve highlighted its exact spot on the screenshot with a red box. I also marked your starting base with a yellow box so you can see how far the trip will be.
The dotted line on the screenshot shows the path I took to reach the Mythic Cry research outpost. This involved going past the research outpost of CRO “Grey Owl” Claywood – where you can find the Stabilizer blueprint – and then heading northwest through the less populated, calcium-rich area of the map.
Keep a couple of things in mind as you go. After you arrive at the Grey Owl outpost, continue traveling northwest until you find some calcium ore showing in the ground. Then, head north until you spot glowing orange plants on a hillside – you can see what they look like in the screenshot below.
Avoid walking through the orange plants, as they’ll tire you out and slow you down. This is especially important if you’re being chased by creatures, or if they see you from the Mythic Cry outpost, because it will make any fight much harder.
When you reach the top of the hill, prepare for a battle. A large group of enemies will attack, so equip a weapon with more range than a pistol, and make sure your grenade and medkit are fully stocked.
Once you’ve dealt with the Vermin, go inside the Mythic Cry research outpost. Destroy the blue growths on the buildings – you can use your pistol or harvesting tool – to stop more Vermin from appearing. Then, make your way to the back of the outpost. Climb the stairs and follow the path until you see an opening in the roof. Drop down through that hole to continue.
Go inside and find the blue box on the floor directly in front of you. Inside, you’ll discover the blueprint for Synthetic Silicon. Be warned: grabbing the blueprint will immediately trigger another wave of enemies, so prepare to fight!
Bring the blueprint back to your Recipe Station. Then, combine it with 600 Ceramics, 800 Calcium Powder, 2,000 Helium, and 600 Data Points. This will let you craft Synthetic Silicon at the Furnace.
