As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent traversing virtual worlds, I can confidently say that the pursuit of the Black Panther trophy in Marvel Rivals has proven to be one of my most challenging endeavors yet. The elusive “King of the Dead” trophy, with its triple kill requirement on the Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda: Hall of Djalia map, has left me scratching my head more times than I’d care to admit.
Obtaining the “King of the Dead” trophy in Marvel Rivals is likely to pose a significant challenge for players aiming for the platinum trophy, as it necessitates a player to accomplish a triple kill on the map known as Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda: Hall of Djalia.
In this tutorial, I’ll share some strategies to simplify the task ahead. But, prior to diving in, it’s essential to note that you’ll have to lean on chance in a couple of aspects. Let me clarify more about this!

How to get the Black Panther trophy in Marvel Rivals
Tip 1) The first piece of luck
To earn the trophy, it’s crucial to locate first the specific map needed: Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda: Hall of Djalia. It’s important to note that among the two Black Panther-themed maps in the game, only one will contribute towards earning the trophy.
On December 18th, keep in mind to check the name of the map you’re about to play in Quick Matches, as it might be one with a rare appearance rate. To get started, your first bit of luck is having this specific map drop for you. It’s an Escort mode map, so remember, fortune favors the prepared!
Even though I haven’t got the option to choose the game mode yet, I occasionally find myself in Domination matches – not ideal when aiming for that elusive trophy. It’s advisable to grab it while you can, as once the game expands with more maps, the challenge will undoubtedly increase.
Tip 2) Learn to combo
There aren’t many activities available right now. In the meantime, I suggest playing each game using Black Panther until you grasp the character’s moveset. He boasts one of the highest mobility levels in the game, but his damage output is less than that of characters like Star-Lord and Iron Fist.
The primary feature of Pantera revolves around tagging enemies with Vibranium Marks, enabling you to execute a series of attacks. Here’s how the combo for Black Panther unfolds:
1st: First, hurl your spear with L2, then engage Spirit Tear via R1. If you utilize Spirit Tear on an enemy bearing the Vibranium Mark, it recharges.
In essence, that’s the gist of the procedure. The key lies in maintaining the Vibranium Mark continuously for the purpose of repeatedly attacking your adversaries with the Spirit Tear.
Tip 3) The strategy on the map
The time is now. You’ve discovered the location marked as Djalia’s Hall on your map, and you’ve mastered the art of playing alongside the Black Panther. Now, the fortuitous event I spoke of earlier becomes relevant.
It’s best for an enemy to field a team of multiple characters with low health, like Adam Warlock, The Punisher, and Mantis, since your character doesn’t deal much damage. This strategy makes it easier for them to defeat you.
When a disagreement arises between the two groups, move towards their weak side (flank) once your special ability (ultimate) is ready. Typically, this area has more healers and damage-dealing characters grouped together. Prior to moving around the map, toss your spear to leave a Vibranium Mark on the opponents first.
Unleash your Ultimate ability! This action summons a colossal Panther that advances slightly, allowing you some freedom from enemies without getting too far away. If fortune favors you, this move could result in at least two enemy eliminations. Keep in mind, as your Ultimate imbues enemies with Vibranium Marks, be sure to follow up with a special combo using your hero for maximum effectiveness.
As an enthusiast, I’d say: To deploy the Spirit Tear, hit R1. Then, for the Spin Kick and Mark application, press L1. Follow up by releasing another Spirit Tear with R1. Next, to hurl the Spear, use L2. After that, repeat L2 again. Lastly, give it one more go with R1 to unleash the Spirit Tear one last time.
To earn this trophy, you need to achieve a three-kill spree. Thankfully, the game gives you some leeway before your consecutive kills are reset, so you’ve got about 6 to 8 seconds to take down another opponent. Keep in mind that for the triple kill achievement to trigger, the notification should appear on your screen. If it doesn’t, you won’t earn the trophy.
Tip 4) Call a friend
If one of your friends is participating, invite them to join your team and suggest they pick either Mantis or Jeff, as it’s beneficial to have a supportive character around given that Black Panther has low health.
I find Mantis more appealing since not only can she heal, but she also boosts the damage of our allies, which significantly facilitates Black Panther’s trophy collection.
