Once you unlock the underground gate with Snake in Graveyard Keeper, he’ll need a Bucket of Blood and Bloody Nails. Since you’re immortal, he sends you into the dangerous dungeon to find them. This guide will show you exactly where to get both items. You can craft the Bucket of Blood at a Church Workbench or find it in the dungeon. The Bloody Nails are located inside the Iron Maidens you’ll also find in the dungeon.
Snake needs exactly 1 Bucket of Blood and 5 Bloody Nails. You can only deliver these items to him outside the dungeon, and only on a day when the game indicates it’s ‘green’.
How To Get A Bucket Of Blood In Graveyard Keeper
Players can get a Bucket of Blood by making one themselves or finding it within the dungeon. However, both options require significant effort – crafting needs a large amount of blood, and finding one means progressing to level 5 of the dungeon.
Crafting A Bucket Of Blood
- 3 Flitch
- 10 Blood
You can make Buckets of Blood at a Church Workbench, which is found in the Alchemy Laboratory under the church. To get the blood itself, perform autopsies on bodies in the morgue. And you’ll need a Flitch, which you can craft from logs using a Sawhorse.
Finding A Bucket Of Blood
Players who don’t want to use their own items for this quest can complete level 5 of the dungeon instead. To unlock the next level, you’ll need to defeat all enemies on your current level and then find the path to go deeper.
Since enemies don’t come back in the dungeon, you can defeat some, then rest to recover and return to explore again.
To find the Bucket of Blood on level 5, follow these steps, but be prepared to fight a lot of enemies!
- Head down the corridor on the right.
- At the pool, go down
- At the library, go down.
- In the room with lots of columns, turn right.
- Follow the corridor to the room where the stairs are.
You’ll find the Bucket of Blood inside a wooden chest in the middle of the room. It’s right in front of the stairs leading to level 6, making it easy to spot.
Before you head into the dungeon, it’s a good idea to upgrade your gear with stronger armor and a better sword. Don’t forget to pack lots of food and drinks, or healing potions. Otherwise, try to keep your inventory light, since you’ll likely find plenty of treasure inside!
How To Get Bloody Nails In Graveyard Keeper
You can get Bloody Nails by defeating Iron Maidens, which start appearing on dungeon level 4 and deeper. These enemies are significantly stronger than those on the earlier levels, so make sure you’re at full health before engaging. While challenging, they can be defeated by leading them to attack and then quickly hitting them during the short pause after their attack. It’s best to fight them one at a time and keep your distance, luring them into attacking before striking.
Okay, so each Iron Maiden you take down will give you 2 Bloody Nails. That means you’ll need to beat up 3 of them to get the 5 Snake wants. And don’t worry about dying a bunch in the dungeon – there’s no penalty for it! Still, I always save my game in Graveyard Keeper just in case something crashes, you know?
You can clean Excess Bloody Nails at the Cooking Table to turn them into regular Nails. However, you’ll likely find a good supply of them while exploring the dungeon.
