In Deltarune, there are numerous concealed paths and hidden adversaries scattered throughout each chapter. Notably, the third installment of the game necessitates players to gather specific items in order to unveil the secret boss featured within Tenna’s TV Time game show. The Ice Key is one such item, but it remains locked behind a door that can only be accessed after meeting certain conditions during the segments of Tenna’s television program.
In the game “Deltarune” chapter three, the Ice Key is one crucial item among three essential ones for unlocking the hidden boss battle at its conclusion. This key can be effortlessly overlooked if you’re not aware of its location. Even if you meet all necessary conditions, it’s possible to stroll past it without noticing. To avoid repeating the initial part of chapter three, make sure to pay close attention during Tenna’s performance segments.
How to Get the Ice Key in Deltarune Chapter 3
In the third chapter of Deltarune, the Ice Key can be acquired by successfully completing a hidden mini-game following the initial round of Tenna’s game show. This mini-game is concealed within a special room that can only be accessed if you score over 1500 points during the adventure minigame, which resembles Zelda-style games. Achieving an S rank in this minigame will grant you access to the secret room and the Ice Key.

After acing the initial round of Tenna’s game show, I sauntered towards the changing room emblazoned with a large “S”. Upon entering, I found myself in a dimly lit corridor adorned with a vending machine and some peculiar characters. A character stood before the door on my left, who hinted at additional games hidden behind his doorstep.

Step into the house, take a left, then engage with the vintage gaming device. It will prompt that you need a controller, so depart from the room and grab one from the floor below. Connect the controller to the game setup and you’ll be whisked away to an old-school Zelda mini-game without your party. The former shop cave now only says “Grow Stronger.
To progress further, travel to the southernmost part of the map and delve underground towards the “mail room” that you might have encountered during Tenna’s performance. Inside, you’ll find a sword. Use it to eliminate every adversary in the mini-game. This should grant you enough experience points to advance to level three. At this stage, you’ll acquire the skill to cut down cacti. Direct your path eastward and chop down the two cacti obstructing a path that was previously unreachable, allowing you to continue forward.
If you’re worried about worrying a pacifist run, these ghost enemies don’t count as true kills!

In a fresh locale shrouded in a violet fog, you’ll be. Keep going with the combat until you hit the highest level. Now that you’re powerful enough, start felling trees. Make your way back to the primary mini-game zone and begin hacking through the woods. You can choose any path. After traversing several screens, you’ll stumble upon a chest holding the Ice Key. That’s it!

From here on out, feel free to proceed with Tenna’s game show as usual. Accumulating more S ranks will reveal hidden mini-games in this back room, giving you access to additional uncommon items. These items are crucial for unlocking an alternate storyline in Deltarune chapter 3’s final act. Since the points you earn might not be enough during future rounds, it’s a good idea to save your progress. Although it’s not as dramatic as chapter 2’s Snowgrave route, this path still deviates significantly from the usual storyline.
