How to Get the New Raid Boss Pal Hartalis in Palworld

The recent Home Sweet Home update for Palworld introduced Hartalis, a powerful new raid boss. You can’t find Hartalis naturally – you have to summon it to battle. If you defeat it, you’ll get an egg that you can hatch into your own Hartalis. This Pal is exceptionally strong and versatile, making it a great addition to your team as a mount, worker, or combat companion.

Where To Find Hartalis Slab Fragments In Palworld

Players can summon a Hartalis by using a Hartalis Slab, which requires four Hartalis Slab Fragments to create.

You can find these randomly in chests within dungeons and caves. They’re also sometimes given as rewards for completing expeditions.

Hartalis Slab Fragments From The Crystalized Tunnel

Players can find the entrance to the Crystalized Tunnel at coordinates -947, -1317. While there are some strong Pals guarding the entrance, they won’t follow you for long once you head inside the cave.

Don’t expect a boss fight here – you’ll just meet a helpful character. The really good stuff is in the two purple chests tucked away in the back corners. They might contain pieces of the Hartalis Slab, or other valuable fragments.

Other Hartalis Slab Fragment Locations

You can also find Hartalis Slab Fragments in Feybreak dungeons. On Sakurajima, keep an eye out for large chests inside enemy bases.

Hartalis Slab Fragments From Expeditions

Players who own a Pal Expedition Station and have progressed in Expeditions can obtain Hartalis Slab Fragments as rewards.

Completing either of the last two Expeditions, Moonflower’s Secret Hideout and Ancient Feybreak Remains, will give you one Hartalis Slab Fragment.

If you prefer not to leave things to chance, you can download the Creative Menu mod from the Steam Workshop. It lets you instantly create any item in the game.

How To Make A Hartalis Slab In Palworld

After gathering 4 Hartalis Slab Fragments, players can combine them at either a Production Assembly Line or a Basic Workbench to create a Hartalis Slab.

Making this will require some time, so it’s helpful to have someone assist you with the building process to make it go faster.

Summoning & Defeating Hartalis In Palworld

To summon the Hartalis Raid Boss, players need a Summoning Altar within their base. Simply approach the altar and offer a Hartalis Slab – the one you crafted previously – through the offering menu.

Players will only want to start a boss fight when they’re prepared. They can also choose where the boss appears – either at their base or in a dedicated Raid Area. Since Pals will fight in the Raid Area, it’s safer to have the battle there to protect your base from damage.

After that, players have 5 minutes to start the boss battle. During this time, they can use the Palbox to send Pals to their base, where they’ll assist in the fight. Players can also quickly build defenses if they have the necessary resources.

If players die, they can respawn or forfeit, but all offered Slabs will be lost upon giving up.

Hartalis is a challenging raid boss at level 65, boasting 909,000 health. The fight has two phases, making it suitable only for experienced players equipped with powerful gear and strong Pals.

This Pal begins as a Water/Grass type, but when its health drops to zero, it will fully recover and change to a neutral type. Be sure to have Pals with the right strengths to effectively battle all of these types.

Hatching The Hartalis Egg

Once you defeat both stages of Hartalis, it will drop an egg. Players can then hatch this egg at their base, just like with other creatures. This process will give you your own Hartalis, but it won’t be as powerful as the one you fight in a raid.

Once players reach Level 65, they can unlock the Hartalis Saddle in the Technology tree. Crafting the saddle with the required materials will then allow them to ride Hartalis.
