A big part of what makes Final Fantasy XIV so popular, and what many online games try to achieve, is the ability to customize your character’s appearance. Players love to make their characters look their best, showing off their accomplishments or simply creating a style they enjoy. This could mean earning a rare weapon from a difficult raid, or collecting items to create a unique visual effect.
Final Fantasy XIV offers a diverse experience with something to appeal to all players, and the newest expansion, Dawntrail, adds an especially exciting feature: a spacesuit!
Adventuring into Cosmic Exploration

If you’ve been enjoying the recent updates in Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail, you’ve likely heard of Cosmic Exploration.
Okay, so this new update has added something really cool for players like me who love crafting and gathering! It’s a way to contribute to the game beyond just leveling up skills or finishing quests. It reminds me a lot of the Ishgard Restoration from the Shadowbringers expansion – basically, it gets all the crafters and gatherers working together to improve our server’s ranking. It’s awesome to feel like my crafting skills actually matter beyond just making gear!
It mainly depends on how quickly and efficiently each server advances through the different phases of construction as players gradually develop the world and establish their bases.
I love that this game doesn’t just make you feel productive – it actually rewards you for completing tasks! Most of the rewards are cool cosmetic items, which is awesome, but some actually help you with the challenges you’re facing. It’s a perfect way to keep myself busy and have fun in between major updates and when I’m not raiding.
How to Get the Powersuit
So, the Powersuit is totally linked to the Cosmic Exploration stuff, which makes sense, right? Cosmic Exploration is all about heading out into space, building bases, and setting up structures on other planets, so a powerful suit fits right in!
We previously designed a very futuristic spacesuit, almost like something from a science fiction movie. This new version looks more like the traditional suits astronauts actually wear, but with a few modern, high-tech updates.
The helmet has a big, round glass visor and includes ears specific to your character’s species. Underneath, it’s built around a strong, external frame and includes a loose-fitting spacesuit – though surprisingly, the suit has no sleeves. It’s hard to understand why anyone would venture into space with their arms uncovered!
Okay, so getting this isn’t a walk in the park. I need to grind out at least 1,000 Oizys Credits by doing stuff in Cosmic Exploration – basically, running missions and completing activities all over the place. It’s gonna take some time, but it’ll be worth it!
Next, find Orbitingway at the base (coordinates X: 18.2, Y: 24.4) and play the roulette mini-game, spending 1,000 credits. The Powersuit Coffer might not always be available as an option, but if it appears, choose the best roulette wheel to increase your chances of winning it.
You can also buy the chest directly from other players on the marketboard if you prefer. It’s quite expensive, but a good option if you’d rather skip the Cosmic Exploration activities.
