In Destiny 2: Renegades, players can wield a powerful energy blade—essentially a lightsaber—called the Praxic Blade. Getting this blade isn’t as difficult as you might expect, and the requirements are fairly straightforward once you’re prepared.
How to Get the Praxic Blade in Destiny 2

You can earn the Praxic Blade in Destiny 2 by completing the Fire and Ice Exotic Mission. This mission unlocks during Step 33 of the Renegades questline. Once you reach Step 33, you’ll need to go to the Praxic Temple with Aunor to start the mission.
At the start of the mission, head across the icy tundra to the Courtyard, where you’ll encounter Taken enemies. Once they’re defeated, a portal will open. Inside, jump onto the central pillar to find the path forward – it will lead you down into a long series of jumps until you reach the boss arena.
In the boss arena, you’ll encounter four Taken Blights – they’ll be either black or white. To progress, you need to collect Taken Orbs and throw them into Blights of the matching color. White Orbs go into white Blights, and black Orbs into black Blights. You get these Orbs by defeating Cabal and Taken Centurions in a specific sequence.
- Black Orb: Kill a Taken Centurion, then another Taken Centurion / Kill a Cabal Centurion, then a Taken Centurion
- White Orb: Kill a Cabal Centurion, then another Cabal Centurion / Kill a Taken Centurion, then a Cabal Centurion
Distribute the Taken Blights evenly between the two white orbs – for example, if you use two on one orb, use two on the other. Keep doing this until both orbs are full, which will cause the Harrow Disciple boss to appear. During the final stage of the boss fight, you’ll use a similar system, but you can now change which orbs enemies drop by interacting with a device on a platform. Once you defeat the boss, you’ll be teleported to a room where you can collect your Praxic Blade.
Praxic Blade God Roll in Destiny 2
After you get the Kinetic Sword, you’ll need to find 20 pieces to build the Praxic Blade. These pieces include the Blade Form, Blade Focus, Power Core, and various Catalysts. We’re working on collecting all the parts and figuring out the best possible build, and we’ll share that information here as soon as it’s available.
