You can find the Reed Devil’s armor and sword hidden throughout the Crimson Desert. Surprisingly, you won’t get them by defeating the boss, but you can collect the entire set without spending any in-game currency or battling enemies. To do so, you’ll need to explore a large portion of the southern Hernand region. If you’d like to avoid searching every nook and cranny, here’s a guide to the specific locations you need to check.
Crimson Desert Sunset Reed Armor Set Location
This armor includes a cloak, chest piece, and boots. While made of leather – offering less protection than heavier armor like the Frostcursed set – it features Abyss Gears that will keep you quick and agile during fights.

Okay, so I finally found the Reed Devil’s cloak and helmet! It’s hidden in this unmarked ruin just west of the Spire of Insight. When you go inside, you’ll see a locked gate with a chest right behind it. The trick to opening the gate is super simple – just light both of the braziers that are next to the stairs. Then the gate opens and you can grab the loot!

One piece of this set is hidden inside a cave near the bay, east of the Frozen Mountain of Souls on the map. To reach it, approach the area from above and go to the base of the upper waterfall. You’ll need to break through the water to enter the cave, where you’ll find a valuable collection of items.

You can find the boots hidden in a secret room within the Sanctum of Absolution. To get there, head west from the Reedwind Valley Abyss Nexus. Once inside the sanctum, go to the highest point and search for a platform extending horizontally from one of the walls.
Go to the platform’s edge and prepare a Force Palm. Strike the wall with it, and the platform will rotate, revealing a secret room where you’ll find the boots.
If you come from the Abyss Nexus east of the sanctum, you can avoid most of the enemies and the Antumbra boss fight.

You can find Reed Devil’s sword in Dawn Cave, hidden behind a waterfall. It’s located north of where you discovered the armor and just east of the Abyss Nexus in Reedwind Valley. The best way to get to the cave is from above, as the entrance ledge is difficult to reach from below.
Hollow Visage starts with three built-in upgrades that boost your attack power, speed, and chance to land critical hits. It’s a solid weapon to use early in the game, and it becomes even stronger as you improve it. You can customize it by swapping out these upgrades at witch hideouts. We suggest removing the Critical Rate upgrade and replacing it with something that adds more direct attack power or a special effect – for example, you can get a useful upgrade from the Sword of the Lord dropped by Hornsplitter.
