How to Start Roach Guts Quest
Crull and Benjin Location
Players initiate the Roach Guts quest by conversing with Crull and Benjin in the Sinner’s Road area within Silksong. These characters are located in the upper right corner of the room, positioned to the east of the damaged Sinner’s Road bench.
To access their hut, first jump off the wall using Cling Grip on the left side of the room, bounce from the floating spikes, then float up with Drifter’s Cloak. Once inside, chat with the two bugs to get the Roach Guts quest. This task requires you to kill 10 Muckroaches and gather their guts.
Where to Find Muckroaches in Silksong
Muckroach Locations
Roaches, or cockroaches, can be found in various spots along Sinner’s Road, but the best place to cultivate them is inside a long tunnel situated beneath a bench, to the left side of the locked Green Prince. Let me explain.
In other words: You’ll find roaches scattered throughout Sinner’s Road, but for optimal farming, go to the lengthy tunnel hidden under a bench, located to the left of the locked Green Prince. I’ll break it down for you.
- Rest at the Sinner’s Road bench to set your respawn point and exit through the right exit.
- There are three Muckroaches, two on the ground and one on top of a cage.
- Kill the Muckroaches and collect the items that drops from their carcass to obtain Roach Guts.
Drop down to the bottom, then turn left.
As a keen explorer, I stumbled upon a hidden nook above the Sinner’s Road bench, teeming with four Muckroaches huddled together. However, this seemingly advantageous spot is far from efficient due to the numerous dangers and adversaries lurking around in the vicinity.
How to Get and Use Tacks in Silksong
Roach Guts Quest Reward
After gathering ten Roach Guts, make your way back to Crull and Benjin to finish the Wish. In return, they will bestow upon you a Red Tool that inflicts considerable damage in appropriate scenarios. In the game ‘Silksong’, Tacks serve a purpose similar to caltrops; Hornets can hurl them onto the ground, causing harm if enemies step on them. Each Tack carries six charges, which can be replenished using Shell Shards at a workbench. To restore one charge, you’ll need eight Shell Shards.
Each time I deploy Tacks as a gamer, Hornet sprays around 4-5 caltrops. Each one dishes out about half the damage a Needle strike would to foes unfortunate enough to tread on them. It’s clever to spread Tacks across an area, making it treacherous for enemies. This tool truly shines when employed against bosses, particularly grounded ones that move slowly.
