In “Once Human,” Deviants function as crucial allies who offer assistance in different parts of the game. To maximize their support, it’s essential to keep them contented and enhance their productivity. This can be achieved by giving them desirable items such as toys. Although the task of locating and presenting toys to your Deviants may seem challenging, this guide will simplify the process for you with clear instructions.
How to Get Toys
Toys enrich the experience of playing “Once Human” by bringing joy to your Deviants and boosting their performance. Luckily, you have two effective ways to obtain these charming items in the game.
In the initial approach, you can acquire toys by giving Starchrom in return. The second approach, on the other hand, entails discovering them through an exploratory process. Here’s a detailed guide for each method:
How to Purchase Toys with Starchrom
As a gamer, if you’re cool with using some of your Starchrom for new Toys, you can simply go ahead and buy them. Here’s how: Open up the main menu by pressing Esc on your keyboard, then navigate to the Season Goals tab. There you will find the option to spend your Starchrom for the desired Toys.
Go to the Season Shop now and click on the “Furniture Formula One” tab. In this area, you can buy the adorable Llama plush toy for a thousand Starchroms. After purchasing, make your way back to your base and open the build menu using the B key. Look for the “Decoration” section and place the newly acquired Llama Plush Toy next to one of your Deviants.
How to Get a Toy Through Exploration
If you’d rather not use your Starchroms and prefer to discover them instead, make your way to the Oil Refinery situated in the Red Sands area. The approximate coordinates are (5165, -1346). Once there, keep an eye out for a Blue Truck with a Hologram marker nearby. Interact with the Hologram by stepping on it to unlock the hidden treasure.
Go through the hologram projection a total of three times to reach a hidden crate with the Model II Toy Formula inside. Beware, though, as this sector is inhabited by formidable foes, so ensure your abilities and equipment are up to the challenge before proceeding.
How to Craft and Use Toys
After getting the Toy Formula, I make my way back to my base. Once there, I open up the build menu and search for the toy under the Decorations tab. To create this toy, though, I’ll need five Rubber pieces, which can be acquired by breaking down loot at the Disassembly Bench.
Place the toy close to creatures like the Extradimensional Cat, who could use it to improve their productivity.
