Although primarily a dungeon-crawling experience, players can still utilize numerous mechanics essential for navigating the Abyss of Time. In the original game, Twilight Fragments could be discovered scattered across different areas of town and accumulated by investing time with your Social Link characters. These shadows are encountered more frequently in the DLC expansion, with many appearing on nearly every level, and some levels even having two or more. Additionally, Elizabeth serves as a reliable source of Twilight Fragments, though she will only dispense them in sets of five at a time.
In this game, Elizabeth will reward you with a set of Twilight Fragments only when you’ve achieved a significant moment in the ‘Abyss of Time’, such as defeating a boss. To receive these Fragments, players must first visit the Velvet Room where Elizabeth resides and speak to her through the door. It is worth noting that she only gives requests upon being addressed this way. Additionally, some Twilight Fragments can be discovered in the Dorm or at Paulownia Mall, although they are scarce. However, finding these doesn’t guarantee more will appear later, as they don’t respawn and their number is limited.
What Are Twilight Fragments Used For In Episode Aigis
As a gamer, I find that Twilight Fragments serve the same purpose as they do in the main game: restoring my party’s HP and SP, and unlocking special chests. It’s wise to hoard these fragments for the chests since I can recharge my health and energy by exiting the Abyss of Time and returning to the dorm. Unlike the base game, Episode Aigis doesn’t have a calendar system, so there aren’t many drawbacks to leaving the Abyss. The only disadvantage is losing any active Tarot cards, but since I can easily regain them with a fully replenished party, it’s not much of a setback.
