Okay, so in Arknights Endfield, Essences are how you make your Operators even stronger. Think of them like little attachments you equip to your weapons – they boost stats and basically give your characters extra skills depending on what the Essence offers. It’s almost like getting another copy of a weapon, which makes them super useful for anyone playing Endfield. The good news is getting them isn’t too hard, but you’ll definitely need some luck on your side!
How to Get Essences in Arknights Endfield
Okay, so you get Essences by beating those Energy Alluvium fights. The enemies there have a chance to drop them, but here’s the cool part: as you level up your Exploration Level, you unlock Severe Energy Alluvium fights. These let you spend Sanity to basically guarantee you get high-rarity Essences. It’s pretty similar to how relics or artifacts work in other gacha games – a way to grind for better gear!
Essences are different from typical game items because they don’t boost stats like attack power or critical hit rate. Instead, they enhance the special abilities of your weapons, including each weapon’s unique characteristics.
Pre-Engraving Stats
When you get Essences, they come with random benefits, but you can influence those benefits beforehand. To do this, open any Severe Energy Alluvium rift and click the ‘Pre-Engrave’ button, which is located just above the ‘Start’ button at the bottom-right of your screen. This allows you to choose which stats your Essences are more likely to have.
Choose three stats that directly affect your character’s core abilities, and then pick one additional stat – either a secondary stat or a skill-based stat. When you earn Essence, it will always have one of the three core stats you chose, the secondary/skill stat you picked, and one extra random bonus.
How Do Essences Work in Endfield?
Adding an Essence boosts your weapon’s abilities by a fixed amount. It’s similar to improving your weapon’s Potential, but instead of upgrading just one ability, it upgrades all three at once.
To equip an Essence:
- Open the Character Screen and pick an Operator.
- Tap the Weapon tab.
- Tap the Essence button next to the Potential button.
- Select the Essence you want to equip.
Your Essences each come with unique benefits, such as increased attack power, arts damage, or flow. When you equip an Essence, these benefits are added to your Operator’s weapon, improving its stats. Importantly, Essences don’t add new abilities to your weapons – they simply enhance the ones already there.
The best Essences will boost all of your weapon’s perks, but sometimes you’ll need to compare them to see which one gives you the biggest advantage. It’s up to you to figure out which Essence is the best choice.
