In Crimson Desert, Focused Force Palm is a skill that lets players break through walls and obstacles by punching them. To use it, players first need to focus, then charge up and deliver the Force Palm.
The Focused Force Palm ability is intended to be unlocked early in Crimson Desert, but it’s easy to overlook. Because this ability is essential for accessing most of the game’s content, this guide will detail how to obtain it and explain how to use it effectively.
How to Use Focused Force Palm in Crimson Desert
Focused Force Palm lets you unlock hidden areas in Crimson Desert. To use it, aim the Force Palm targeting cursor at an object even if it’s behind a wall, and then activate the ability at the precise moment to break through the barrier.
Here’s how players can perform the Focused Force Palm in Crimson Desert.
- Mouse: Press the “X” key to enter focus, then hold the “Middle-Mouse” button to start aiming the Focused Force Palm.
- Controllers: Press the “LS + RS” or “L3 + R3” buttons, and then hold the “RS” or “R3” button to start aiming the Focused Force Palm.
When you begin charging the Focused Force Palm, players will briefly see a sort of X-ray view, revealing the object that’s powering the barrier. Aim the Focused Force Palm using the “Spirit (leaf)” symbol until the object glows gold.
Once that occurs, let go of the Force Palm button to execute the attack, strike the object, shatter the barrier, and create a clear path forward.
When using Focused Force Palm, stand a safe distance from the barrier to avoid being shocked when the Abyss Cell breaks. You can also use Axiom Force to pick up any fallen Abyss Cells and save them for crafting Kuku equipment at the Kilnden Workshop.
How to Get Focused Force Palm in Crimson Desert (During & After the Quest)
You’ll automatically learn the Focused Force Palm skill while completing the Scholastone quest in Chapter 4: The Price of Knowledge in Crimson Desert. As part of the quest, while searching for a way to the Scholastone Institute, you’ll find a glowing barrier with a hologram. Interacting with the hologram will teach you the ability.
If you didn’t see it during the quest, you can go back to the spot shown on the map. The hologram will be there, and just watching it will teach you a new ability.
Players can learn the Focused Force Palm here, and it will also be taught automatically during Chapter 9 of Crimson Desert. However, it’s best to learn it sooner rather than later, as doing so will ensure you can participate in all in-game activities and quests.
