How To Get Weaver's Needle In Black Myth: Wukong

As a seasoned gamer with countless hours clocked into various action-packed titles, I can confidently say that Black Myth: Wukong has truly captivated my gaming soul. The Duskveil boss fight was an exhilarating challenge that pushed me to my limits and left me craving more.

Once you’ve battled and conquered Venom Daist for the second round, gamers will gain access to the hidden location within the fourth chapter, known as Purple Cloud Mountain. At the culmination of this concealed area lies The Duskveil, a formidable boss that offers players a highly beneficial Vessel upon defeat, which proves invaluable during the battle against the final boss of the fourth chapter.

In the Purple Cloud Mountain, you’ll encounter the Scorpinlord as a boss. If you manage to defeat him prior to The Duskveil, he will lend his aid during the initial stage of the battle. Unfortunately, if you don’t succeed on your first attempt, you’ll be left disheartened because Scorpionlord won’t reappear to assist again.

How to Find The Duskveil

Following the discovery of the hidden location, players should navigate towards the final Keeper’s Shrine within this area, known as Cloudnest Peak. This Keeper’s Shrine is situated not far from where Daoist Mi can be found for his assigned task. After reaching Cloudnest Peak, proceed directly up the stairway to initiate a cutscene that sets the stage for the battle with the boss from Duskveil.

By engaging the Duskveil boss initially, you forgo the chance to battle against Daoist Mi and The Scorpionlord subsequently. These subsequent bosses offer rewards such as a Transformation item, a Chest piece, and a Gourd.

In the initial stage of the boss encounter, the boss is largely peaceful, mostly standing still and using its feet to stomp as an attack. However, it also possesses a ranged attack that appears to launch bones at you. These attacks can be easily avoided by rolling towards the boss. Keep a keen eye for when Duskveil jumps high into the air, spins around multiple times, and then lands back on the ground – this multi-strike attack is something to watch out for.

When your manager is unwell, they’ll rush at you multiple times before collapsing. The moments to dodge these rushes are quite convenient, and after the last charge, you can dash forward to inflict a lot of damage while they’re down. Once you deplete their initial health bar, a cutscene will initiate, marking the start of the second phase.

Remember, the game offers you an opportunity to create Medication. This item not only increases your damage output but also strengthens your defense, thereby simplifying tough battles such as the one in Duskveil.

The Duskveil’s Second Phase

During the second stage of the battle, the intensity of the boss fight significantly increases. The boss introduces a variety of attacks into its repertoire. One such attack involves it firing a red beam from the weapon it wields. Another attack initiates when the Duskveil lets out a piercing scream and retreats to launch multiple bone fragments in your direction. Subsequently, it soars aloft and follows up with more bone shards that function as guided missiles, homing in on your location.

The Bone Knife combo is what you should look out for at all costs. This attack starts with the boss taking out the weapon from its mouth and spinning its whole body around for two swings at you. This is followed up by the boss leaping into the air, throwing the knife on the ground, and landing on it to do an area attack momentarily. If you can get the timings right of the dodge, you can stay close; otherwise, it is advised to run away when the boss leaps up.

An attack that players might get confused about is when it breathes out a cloud of red dust. This cloud persists for a few seconds and does lingering damage as long as you stay inside it. Under no circumstances should you fight the boss in the cloud, as you will lose your entire health bar in mere seconds. Your attacks might be missed sometimes because the hitbox on the leg is pretty small, and this problem usually occurs when using the Chu Bai Spear. If this happens to you, try switching to the , which deals Thunder damage upon executing a Punishing Downpour.

The Duskveil Rewards

Following your victory over The Duskveil, you’ll have the opportunity to witness a cinematic sequence. After this, you’ll find yourself transported beyond the Purple Cloud Mountain, and in return for your efforts, you’ll receive these rewards:

  • Soak
  • x1
