In Monster Hunter Wilds, the Windward Aloe item appears in three distinct forms, two of which are essential for crafting and trading. Unfortunately, much like other items in Wilds, the game offers limited guidance on how to obtain the rarer variants of this specific item, with one of them being particularly elusive.
Our guide for Monster Hunter Wilds Windward Aloe shows you how to obtain every variant, such as Fine Windward Aloe and Great Windward Aloe.
Monster Hunter Wilds: Windward Aloe location
Standard Aloes from Windward Plains thrive primarily during times of fallow and abundance, but like many plant species, they are most abundant during periods of plenty. They can be found scattered across various locations on the surface, never beneath it. During the season of plenty, you might discover several clusters around the oasis in Area 13 and near the temporary campsite in Area 8.
In Monster Hunter Wilds, spots marked as “Windward Succulent” actually contain aloe plants. However, since aloe is categorized as a unique item, your Botanist skill won’t influence the number of aloe pieces you obtain during harvesting. Instead, you’ll always get just one piece each time.
Monster Hunter Wilds: Fine Windward Aloe location
The Fine Windward Aloes appear in locations similar to common Windward Aloes, but they have some additional conditions. They emerge from shimmering succulent plants – you can identify it as the correct one if there are orbs of light floating around it. So far, we’ve discovered them exclusively during Windward Aloe Flare-ups. To find out if a flare-up is happening, look at the environment summary section on your map. You can refresh the environment by resting at a tent to see if a flare-up occurs.
Monster Hunter Wilds: Great Windward Aloe location
The Great Windward Aloe is rarer than its Fine counterpart. You can only obtain it when a colossal succulent undergoes the unpredictable Windward Aloe Upsurge, an occurrence that happens during the season of abundance. Similar to the Fine Windward Aloe, these upsurges are random, but you can check the forecast to see if one is imminent. If not, you might want to wait in your tent and try again or reload to attempt it once more, without using your Guild Points.
The Windward Aloe, an essential commodity, often appears as a prerequisite for valuable goods such as the Sinister Cloth. Although you won’t necessarily require vast quantities, it’s wise to prepare for seeking out several of them in your trade endeavors.
