How to Get Zelda Villagers & Items in Animal Crossing New Horizons

In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, players can invite many villagers to live on their island. While most of these characters are from previous games in the series, some are special, appearing only for limited-time events or as part of collaborations with other franchises.

Characters from the Zelda series first appeared in Animal Crossing: New Leaf, but weren’t added to Animal Crossing: New Horizons until update 3.0. This guide explains how to unlock Zeldathemed characters, furniture, and clothing in New Horizons*.

How to Invite Zelda Characters in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Tulin and Mineru were important characters in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom when it came out in 2023. Now, you can find them as villagers in the Animal Crossing: New Horizons game!

Players can unlock Tulin and Mineru by scanning compatible Zelda amiibo figures in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Each amiibo corresponds to one of these characters, and depending on which figures you have, you may be able to invite either one or both of them to live on your island.

To have an amiibo villager visit your campsite in the game, you need to go to Resident Services and use the ABD terminal. Select the ‘Invite Camper’ option, then scan your amiibo. After that, simply talk to the character to invite them to your campsite.

Once you’ve found them on the campsite, simply talk to the villager and ask them to move to your island. Here’s a list of which villager each amiibo will bring:
