In Crimson Desert, players will soon be able to hide their helmets, a feature many have requested from Pearl Abyss. For a long time, players have wanted to conceal back-mounted equipment like weapons and shields so their armor and character customization are fully visible. That’s now becoming a reality.
The latest update for Crimson Desert, Patch 1.03.00, includes several improvements, including a new Weapon Display feature. This feature lets players hide weapons shown on their character’s back without needing to use any modifications, and we’re going to show you how it works.

How to Use the Weapon Display Option in Crimson Desert
- Hold Options and select “Others” to reach the options section of the menu.
- Select “Settings”.
- Navigate to the “Languages and Gameplay” tab to find the “Display Melee Weapons” and “Display Ranged Weapons” sections.
- Selecting “Selected Only” for “Display Melee Weapons” will only show the weapon you currently have equipped.
- Selecting “Only When Used” will only display your Bow and Quiver when you are using the Bow.
Just because you hide your shield, bow, or other weapons doesn’t mean you’ve actually unequipped them. You’ll still get any benefits they normally provide, even if you can’t see them.
