In ARC Raiders, you’ll explore diverse environments and need to adjust to survive. Whether you’re scavenging in abandoned buildings or on nighttime missions, visibility can be a challenge. If you have an Nvidia graphics card, you can use a filter to make the game brighter and more easily spot enemies in the dark.
Although Nvidia Filters are a safer way to improve the look of ARC Raiders than ReShade, players should still experiment with them carefully.
How to Increase Brightness in ARC Raiders (Best Nvidia Filter Settings)
Okay, so ARC Raiders doesn’t let you adjust the gamma or brightness in the game itself, which is kinda annoying. The developers clearly have a specific look they’re going for, but honestly, it makes it way too easy for people to camp. Seriously, you can’t even see them hiding in the shadows, giving them a massive advantage. It’s frustrating when you’re trying to play and someone’s just a black blob in the darkness!
If the game looks too dark, you can try increasing the brightness in ARC Raiders using Nvidia Filters. To access these filters, you’ll need to download the Nvidia App – it’s the new version of the GeForce Experience software.
Once you’ve done that, make sure to follow the steps below to activate the Nvidia Filters utility.
- Open the Nvidia App by looking it up in the Windows Search bar.
- Click on the settings tab on the left.
- Enable the “Game Filters and Photo Mode” setting under the Overlay section.
Some users have reported performance problems with Nvidia Filters. If you notice ARC Raiders running slower than usual, it’s best not to use this feature.
After enabling Nvidia Filters, start up ARC Raiders and wait for the main menu to appear. Once you’re there, press ALT+Z to open the Nvidia Overlay. Then, go to the Game Filters section where you can adjust settings like brightness and gamma to improve the visuals in ARC Raiders.
This is a guide to adjusting the Nvidia Filters settings to make the game ARC Raiders brighter. It details each factor you’ll need to modify.
| Nvidia Filter Properties/Factors | Settings | Values |
|---|---|---|
| Details | Sharpen | 40 |
| Clarity | 20 | |
| HDR Toning | 100 | |
| Bloom | 20 | |
| Color | Tint Color | 55 |
| Tint Intensity | ||
| Temperature | 5 | |
| Vibrance | 10 | |
| Brightness/Contrast | Exposure | |
| Contrast | -15 | |
| Highlights | 33 | |
| Shadows | -48 | |
| Gamma |
After you set up the filter options, they’ll be applied to ARC Raiders, making dark areas appear much brighter. To quickly switch between the normal view and the filtered view, you can save the filter settings as a shortcut within the Nvidia overlay. This allows you to turn the filter on or off during gameplay, depending on what works best for each situation.
I just wanted to show you a quick before-and-after! This shows how the game looked originally, and then how much better it looks when I use those Nvidia Filter settings I mentioned. It’s a pretty big difference!
