Players exploring the world of Where Winds Meet may find the many different systems a little overwhelming. Besides learning skills and Martial Arts, you also need to manage various stats to use certain abilities. One important stat is Vitality, which you’ll need to improve if you want to perform powerful attacks and Mystic Skills.
What Does Vitality Do in Where Winds Meet?

The game guide Where Winds Meet explains that Vitality is essential for using powerful attack abilities. This can be confusing when you first start playing, as you won’t have access to these abilities right away. As you complete quests, you’ll unlock them, starting with likely Blinding Mist. This skill lets you create a mist cloud to set up your Touch of Death attack, but it needs 80 Vitality to use. New players usually start with only 50 Vitality, but thankfully, you can increase this stat, though it will take some effort.
How To Upgrade Vitality

Okay, so I’ve been trying to boost my Vitality in Where Winds Meet, and it turns out you need to find an Oddity Collector. The first one, Qi Sheng, is actually pretty easy to find – he’s in the starting area, after you learn Tai-Chi from that bear. To get your first Vitality upgrade, you have to unlock part of the Melodies of Peace skill tree. Keep an eye out for the big nodes labeled “The Music of Qinghe” – that’s where the Vitality boost is hidden!
Remember that even with Qi Sheng’s Vitality improvements, you might not be able to use all of his powerful attacks. Also, there’s another Oddity Collector in Kaifeng, so it’s a good idea to improve that skill line as well.

As you progress through the Oddity skill tree, be sure to collect every Oddity you come across – things like shooting beehives or catching grasshoppers. You can quickly travel to NPCs to check what’s needed for the next upgrade. Then, use the map and follow the Oddity icons to find and collect them. Gathering enough Oddities will let you improve this skill.
