How to Install Mods for Hogwarts Legacy?
Since Hogwarts Legacy is a standalone game, there’s no concern about getting penalized for employing mods. In fact, the creators themselves offer access to these features. There are various methods to obtain mods for this game. If you prefer using them, the developers have introduced an in-game mod manager. On the other hand, if you wish to create your own mods, you need to download the Hogwarts Legacy Mods Creator Kit from the Epic Games Store.
The official custom content for Hogwarts Legacy will be handled by Curse Forge. To use these mods, you’ll need a Steam or Epic Games Store account that is linked with a Warner Bros. Games account. You can access the mod manager once you’ve downloaded the latest update (Build Version – 1326194). Here are the steps to download mods for Hogwarts Legacy:
1. Make sure your game is updated to the latest version.
2. Link your Steam or Epic Games Store account with a Warner Bros. Games account.
3. Visit Curse Forge to find and download the Hogwarts Legacy mods you’d like to use.
4. Follow the instructions provided by Curse Forge to install the mods in your game.
5. Enjoy your customized Hogwarts Legacy experience!
- Once you have updated Hogwarts Legacy to the latest version, you will find a new ‘Play Mods’ option in the Main Menu. This new mode will allow players to view and install mods.
- Once opened, players will find 4 new tabs: Discover, Browse, Library, and Enable Mods. The first two will be used to find mods; the Library will be where your favourite and installed mods are saved, and Enable Mods will be the section where you can enable and disable mods.
- The Discover category will show players featured Hogwarts Legacy mods, and the Browse section will allow them to go through various mods with some additional filters.
- Once you find a mod you like, you can click on that mod and then press ‘Install’. Players will also find ‘Favourite’, ‘Rate’ and ‘Report’ options on this page. The more Ratings a mod has, the better it ranks in the Hogwarts Legacy mod manager.
- Once you have installed your preferred mods, head to the ‘Enable Mods’ tab to get started with the fun. Select which mods you wish to enable and then make a copy of your save file from this section. A copy has to be made to play the mods, and the developers have assured that it won’t impact the original save file.
- Then boot up the game from the same section and enjoy the new mods you have downloaded.
- Players should note that Hogwarts Legacy mods can only played through the ‘Enable Mods’ section in the new ‘Play Mods’ tool. If players load up the game normally, they can only access the vanilla version of the game.
