Mechabellum is centered around engaging in massive battles against other players, making it a highly competitive experience. Interestingly, if you prefer to engage in combat exclusively with your friends, the game offers that possibility too. Nevertheless, configuring a private match and inviting friends for a laid-back fight can sometimes feel a bit perplexing.
In Mechabellum, there’s an abundance of knowledge to be gained, which is exactly what makes it one of the top auto battlers around. Learning alongside a friend or two can really enhance the experience, and if you’re unsure about inviting your pals to your games, here’s a simple guide on how to do so.
How To Set Up Private Friend Lobbies In Mechabellum
Initially, let’s set up a personal game space. Navigate to the Multiplayer section, then hit the “Create Room” button situated at the lower-right corner of the screen. Adjust settings according to your preference; if you and your companions fancy battling AI over each other, simply select PvE Survival mode from the drop-down list.
Once the room has been prepared, participation is open to all, unless the “Invitation Only” option was selected during room setup. To extend invitations, look for the small square icon next to your username in the lower-left corner. Clicking on this will display a list of your Steam friends who own the game, along with any players you follow. Simply click on their name, hit the “Invite” button, and you’re all set! Inviting people might require a few more clicks than most strategy games, but it gets the job done.
Similarly, you can connect with any player from your friend list using the method detailed earlier. If you wish to keep track of players not on your Steam friends list, simply click on their username and then press the ‘Follow’ button. A pop-up message will appear, asking if you’d like to add them as a friend on Steam as well.
How To Matchmake With Friends
If you prefer battling against different players instead, feel free to add a friend to your Multiplayer session by clicking on the ‘+’ symbol located on the right. Only those who are online or not engaged in another match will show up here. After they accept the invite, hit ‘Start’, and the system will start matching you with opponents. Don’t forget to adhere to some of Mechabellum’s recommended strategies if you aim to triumph more often!
To select the type of game you’d like to join, click on the buttons located above the games list within the Multiplayer tab. Just uncheck any modes you’re not interested in, and then tap the “Start Matchmaking” button.
