As a seasoned Path of Exile player with countless hours spent exploring the dark and gritty world of Wraeclast, I must say that the addition of guilds in Path of Exile 2 has been a breath of fresh air for me. While I’ve always enjoyed the solitude of my adventures, there’s something to be said about having a community of like-minded individuals to share the thrill and pain of this game with.
In “Path of Exile 2”, it’s important to note that this game requires a constant internet connection, regardless if you prefer playing solo or not. As you delve into Instances, you won’t encounter other players at random unless they belong to your party. However, in the towns, you’ll always notice other players who are currently present in the same town as well.
In most cases, the individuals you encounter in towns or communicate with via global chat are picked at random. However, by becoming a part of a guild, you have the option to engage solely with specific players. Here’s an explanation of what guilds are in “Path of Exile 2” and a guide on how to join or even create one yourself.
How To Create & Join Guilds In Path of Exile 2
To access the Guild section, start by opening the main menu and choose the ‘Social Menu’. Then, move to the ‘Guild’ tab where you can either create a guild if you don’t have one already, or view a list of your current guild members and their online status. Creating a new guild is straightforward – just select ‘Create A Guild’, pick an available name, and confirm.
In case you’re part of a guild, you can engage with fellow players you encounter in towns or through chat, and by clicking on their name, an “Invite to Guild” button will appear at the bottom of the menu that appears.
How To Join A Guild
The only way to join a guild in Path of Exile 2 is by invitation, as there is no way to search for guilds or try and join one you know of. If you are a solo player looking for a guild, you’ll need to use a third-party website to find other players, or simply use the world chat in-game to try and connect with others. Having crossplay enabled will help you find more people and hopefully more guilds. In a guild, you can invite any character you find in the game or in chat, along with anyone currently on your friends list.
How Do Guilds Work In Path of Exile 2
Primarily, a Guild serves as a convenient platform for interacting with fellow gamers, facilitating team-ups for cooperative gameplay. In addition to providing a more accessible roster of players, here are some other functions of a guild:
- Use the Guild chat feature to only talk to your guild.
- Use a guild-wide Stash to share items.
In any given moment, you’re allowed to belong to only one Guild. Leaving a Guild doesn’t come with any consequences. When you log into your account, any new characters you create or switch to will automatically be part of the same Guild that your current character is in.
