How to Jump Across Gaps in Pokemon Legends Z-A (Roto Glide)

In Pokemon Legends: Z-A, Lumiose City is full of collectibles hidden on scaffolding, but some areas are hard to reach. Luckily, the Roto-Glide lets you jump across gaps and reach higher places, helping you find everything.

As you travel through the game, you’ll be encouraged to check out construction sites, but you won’t be able to collect everything immediately. While you can use a dodge roll to get across small gaps, you’ll need to unlock the Roto-Glide ability in Pokemon Legends: Z-A to tackle the more challenging platforming sections.

How to Jump Across Gaps in Pokemon Legends: Z-A

In Pokémon Legends: Z-A, you’ll need the Roto-Glide to get across gaps. You’ll unlock this ability during the main mission “A Rogue Mega Beedrill.” After you get Roto-Glide, simply press the A button while falling to jump back upwards.

Roto-Glide is like getting a second jump, allowing you to clear wide gaps as long as you begin from a high point. You can use it immediately after the first jump, but it only works once before you land. With Roto-Glide, you can reach previously inaccessible Colorful Screws. Also, be sure to check the construction sites around Lumiose City – they contain useful items like TMs!

Okay, so I figured out the Roto-Glide! It only works if you’re already falling from a height – you can’t just use it to launch yourself forward. But honestly, that’s not a big deal because the city is covered in scaffolding you can climb. Finding a good spot to jump off of is super easy, so you’ll get plenty of chances to use it!

Okay, so the Roto-Glide in Pokemon Legends: Z-A is seriously useful everywhere, even in the Wild Zones. I’ve been going back through areas with it and finding Pokemon I totally missed before! There are hidden spots you can only reach with Roto-Glide, or other gadgets, so it’s worth revisiting those Wild Zones to complete your collection.
