One significant aspect of the upcoming title, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, revolves around its intense combat system. As with most RPGs, mastering combat is crucial, and this game is no exception. While the game doesn’t offer extensive tutorials on combat, it does subtly guide you towards resources where you can further enhance your skills.
Once you complete the Laboratories mission, engage in conversation with Bara. She’ll share insights about Tomcat. Inquire further about this individual as he is your instructor for the powerful Master Strike technique. Bara will reveal Tomcat’s whereabouts, and this interaction initiates a side quest for you.
How To Find Tomcat
Once you’ve chatted with Bara, the specified location will appear on your map. Use the given coordinates as a guide to locate the gentleman you’re seeking.
Given that, there’s still plenty of time left in this adventure, and there’s much to accomplish. It would be wiser to acquire a horse initially, then take care of some other tasks before heading over to Tomcat to gather additional knowledge about combat.
Once you’ve acquired a horse, make your way to the specified location and engage in conversation with the individual stationed outside the combat arena. This person, known as Tomcat, is more than willing to impart his knowledge at no cost. To start, he will instruct you on executing a combination of moves to strike your adversary effectively.
There are two different versions of these combinations you’ll need to try out. To ensure he’s satisfied, you’ll need to execute each one twice. After that, he’ll proceed to the last phase of training.
How To Learn Master Strike
Once you finish both Combat Training I and II, your last round of training commences. But to proceed with this, you need to defeat Tomcat in a combat scenario. If you don’t manage to do so, he won’t instruct you on Master Strike – one of the game’s top abilities.
As a gamer, I’d suggest wielding a single-handed sword for this foe to conserve your energy better. Remember the basics that Tomcat drilled into you, as this fight will be tough. He’s got the Master Strike up his sleeve and may catch you off guard, leaving no room for dodging his attack. Stay alert!
Instead of responding to Tomcat’s attack after blocking it, be aware that he might follow up with a Master Strike, so it would be wiser to avoid retaliating at this point.
While it’s impossible to directly assault the Master Strike from his unguarded side, there is a strategy to overcome him. Attack at the point where he is defending himself, and when fatigue sets in, capitalize with a few well-timed blows. Once you’ve successfully defeated him, he will impart upon you the knowledge of the Master Strike ability.
You can perform Master Strike with only swords.
