Okay, so at first, Carbon in Arknights: Endfield doesn’t seem like a big deal. But trust me, it totally is! You need it to create better stuff, like Xiranite. Then, you use Xiranite to make Xiranite Components, which are basically essential for crafting gear. It’s a whole production line, and Carbon is where it starts, so you’ll be collecting a lot of it!
Once you have the necessary facilities for collecting Carbon and have automated the Xiranite production process, obtaining Carbon and its related products in Arknights: Endfield is quite straightforward. However, it can be a bit confusing at first. This guide covers everything you need to know, from creating Carbon to efficiently farming it, and finally, to producing Stabilized Carbon.
How to Make Carbon in Arknights Endfield
In Arknights: Endfield, you create Carbon by using the Refining Unit in your AIC Factory with either Buckflower or Wood. Though you’ll discover more Carbon creation methods as you play, the easiest way to get it is to set up a loop at your AIC Factory. You can do this by connecting a Seed-Picking Unit to a Planting Unit, letting you create Carbon from just one initial Buckflower.
How to Farm Carbon in Arknights Endfield

Here are step-by-step instructions explaining how to farm Carbon in Arknights Endfield:
- Complete the ‘Paving the Way’ main mission.
- Use the Expansion Core to unlock the second tier of the AIC Factory Plan.
- Unlock the Seed-Picking Unit and Planter on the AIC Factory Plan.
- Place the Seed-Picking Unit and Planter near each other in your Factory.
- Use belts to connect the Seed-Picking Unit to the Planter.
- Then use belts from the other side of the Planter to connect with the other side of the Seed-Picking Unit.
- Place Buckflower into the Seed-Picking Unit.
You’ve set up a system where you continuously get seeds from Buckflower, and then magically turn those seeds into twice as much Buckflower as you started with – a never-ending cycle!
If the previous steps don’t solve the problem, double-check that all your buildings have power. Also, ensure your conveyor belts are connected correctly – plug the output end of one building into the input end of the next.
How to Make Stabilized Carbon in Arknights Endfield
In Arknights Endfield, you create Stabilized Carbon by adding Dense Carbon Powder to the Refining Unit in your AIC Factory. Without a well-organized factory layout, this process can take a while because you’ll need to:
- Put Carbon into the Shredding Unit to make Carbon Powder
- Then put Carbon Powder into the Grinding Unit to make Dense Carbon Powder
- Finally, put Dense Carbon Powder into the Refining Unit to make Stabilized Carbon
To unlock the Grinding Unit, you’ll need to progress the story enough to obtain another Basic Expansion Core and reach the third stage of the AIC Plan.
