Once players have fully utilized Ferrium in Arknights: Endfield, they’ll need to start working with Cryston. While it’s primarily made from Amethyst Ore, creating Cryston is more involved than Ferrium, requiring mid-game resources like Sandleaf. Before you move on to Wuling, mastering Cryston will be the final step in Valley IV. Here’s a guide on how to craft Cryston in Endfield.
How To Make Cryston In Arknights Endfield
Creating Cryston in Arknights: Endfield requires setting up two production lines: one to make Amethyst Powder and another for Sandleaf Powder.
Head here to learn about Sandleaf and its production chains.
Here’s how to make Amethyst Powder:
- 1 Amethyst Ore in Refining Unit = 1 Amethyst Fiber
- 1 Amethyst Fiber in Shredding Unit = 1 Amethyst Powder
First, mix Amethyst Powder and Sandleaf Powder together to create Cryston Powder. This will give you the white, cube-shaped material you need.
Then, refine the Cryston Powder to make Cryston Fiber.
How To Use Cryston In Arknights Endfield
Cryston Fiber can further be processed into:
- Cryston Parts
- Cryston Components
- Cryston Bottle
Cryston Parts are used to build Zipline Towers. These towers are an upgrade over Zipline Pylons, offering a longer reach of 110 meters compared to the Pylon’s 80 meters. Importantly, both structures consume the same amount of power, so if you have enough Cryston Parts, the Zipline Tower is the better choice.
In Arknights: Endfield, Cryston Components are essential for crafting purple-rarity Gears. To get them, you’ll need to produce both Packed Origocrust and Cryston Fiber.
Here’s how to make Packed Origocrust:
- 1 Originium Ore in Refining Unit = 1 Origocrust
- 1 Origocrust in Shredding Unit = 1 Origocrust Powder
- 2 Origocrust Powder + 1 Sandleaf Powder in Grinding Unit = 1 Dense Origocrust Powder
- 1 Dense Origocrust Powder in Refining Unit = 1 Packed Origocrust
I recently discovered you can actually combine two Cryston Fibers using a Moulding Unit to create a Cryston Bottle! It’s a cool crafting recipe, but honestly, in the first version of the game, these bottles don’t actually do anything. It feels a little pointless right now, but maybe they’ll get a use in a future update?
Cryston Factory Layout In Arknights Endfield
Here’s an example of Cryston production layout in Arknights: Endfield to make Cryston Components:
- You need two Grinding Units to make Cryston Powder and Cryston Fiber.
- You also need two Grinding Units to make Packed Origocrust.
You can reposition your PAC or Sub-PAC Tower by tapping it, then selecting ‘move’, or by holding your finger on the tower.
While it’s possible to operate with just one Grinding Unit per material, using two will give you the best possible results.
Next, put all four Belts together to form a Gearing Unit. When running efficiently, this unit will produce 6 Cryston Components every minute.
The Sandleaf Shredding Unit can power up to three machines, but running it with two is simpler and reduces the chance of slowdowns. Remember to produce enough Sandleaf to keep all machines supplied. Based on the example layout, you’ll need 2 Sandleaf every 2 seconds, which means your Sandleaf production should be at least 60 per minute.
