Managing every aspect of a Schedule 1 drug operation is challenging for an individual, but fortunately, players can simplify many tasks by employing workers within the game. There’s no scarcity of labor in this virtual world, and if your goal is to increase profits, it would be smart to leverage this resource.
In this manual, we’ll delve into the essentials of motivating your team members to perform optimally, along with other crucial aspects related to employees and the automation system within Schedule 1.
How to Use Employees in Schedule 1
After Manny hires your initial worker from the Warehouse, he will hand over the Management Notebook to you, which you will utilize for supervising all your team members. Now, regarding your staff, they will be stationed in front of your main residence. For the purpose of this guide, let’s refer to the factory located above the Chinese restaurant as the Workshop.
As a gamer, I understand that each team member has their unique roles, and they’re not like the dealers in Schedule 1. To get them to perform tasks, the fundamental process remains the same across all. For the purpose of this guide, let me illustrate using a fictional employee named ‘Handler’. Here are the steps you should follow:
1. Identify the task you want Handler to perform.
2. Communicate clearly what is expected of them.
3. Provide any necessary resources or tools for Handler to complete the task efficiently.
4. Set a deadline, if applicable, to ensure the task gets done in a timely manner.
5. Monitor progress and offer support as needed to help Handler successfully complete the task.
Assigning Beds and Workstations
First, you need to assign your worker to a suitable station. To do this, do the following:
- Bring out your Management Clipboard.
- Approach your employee.
- Press E to bring up the worker options menu.
- Click on “None” next to Bed on top of the clipboard screen.
- Select the Bed you want to assign to them.
- Left-click on the bed.
To place a worker at a specific work area, follow the previous steps, but choose a work station instead. The type of work station may differ for each worker, and you can assign workers to their respective stations using the clipboard.
- Handlers: Packaging Stations
- Cleaners: Trash Cans
- Botanists: Pots/Tents
- Chemists: Mixing/Chemistry Stations
After giving an employee a bed, a suitcase will materialize there. To kickstart your employees’ day, ensure that cash is placed inside their suitcases. You might find it convenient to stop by an ATM for this purpose. If you prefer not to do so, you can also utilize shortcuts provided in Schedule 1.
If an employee needs supplies for their task, allocate those supplies to a container that holds everything necessary for their job. For instance, botanists might be provided containers filled with seeds.
Setting Routes (Handlers)
Routes function as the paths your employees navigate during their workday. By defining a route, workers can transport items to and from storage units, eliminating the need for manual placement of items at each workstation before they begin their tasks.
- Approach an employee and interact with them using your clipboard.
- Under the Routes section, click on “Add New.”
- To set a starting point, click on “From – None.”
- Select your desired starting point, then press LMB.
- To set an end point, click on “To – None.”
- Select your desired end point, then press LMB again.
If executed correctly, the employee should retrieve pertinent items from a storage box and proceed to process them at a workspace. After completion, they will store their processed goods in a chosen container.
With certain workstations, you can copy and paste data, thereby identifying where the station’s results are being directed. It is important to perform this action when working with Botanists to ensure that the products are stored in appropriate containers.
As a dedicated player, always ensure that the paths for my AI allies are well-defined and concise. A muddled route can lead to hiccups in their pathfinding, leaving them idle without any instructions from me.
