In the fourth mission of “Sniper Elite: Resistance”, your goal is to eliminate Ludwig Spiegel. If you manage to make him fall from the dam, you’ll be rewarded with the M1 Garand rifle. This guide will show you how to make Spiegel fall from the dam in “Sniper Elite: Resistance”. By following these steps, you should have no problem completing the Mission 4 Kill List task.
The M1 Garand boasts exceptionally high destructive power, earning it the reputation of a powerful sniper rifle. However, its aiming stability leaves much to be desired, making it somewhat challenging for users to handle and control effectively. Players might find it a tad tricky to work with.
Sniper Elite Resistance: Kill Ludwig Spiegel by Making Him Fall from the Dam
Clear the Dam
Players tackling the Kill List objective in Sniper Elite: Resistance should initially eliminate all enemies on the dam with the exception of Spiegel. Leaving Spiegel unharmed (or neutral) will facilitate a more manageable situation when it’s time to take him down, which is crucial for inducing him to fall from the dam later on.
As a gamer tackling the dam mission, I’d recommend scoping out the buildings to its east and west for prime sniping spots against enemies. If you’re a fan of sniper games, don’t forget to sneak across the dam, using stealth melee takedowns, and save your aim for Spiegel in the end.
If a player happens to encounter combat while they’re busy repairing the dam, they can certainly engage in a straight-up shootout with all the enemies, except for Spiegel. Noteworthily, if the Kill List target isn’t eliminated during this skirmish, he will eventually revert to a neutral state. This means it would be possible for him to fall from the dam afterward.
Wait for Spiegel to Become Neutral
Spiegel might shift into an investigative or stealthy mode, possibly even a combative stance, as you work on clearing the dam. Players familiar with stealth games will recognize this by a yellow triangle appearing above Spiegel’s head when observing enemies through binoculars. This triangle turns white once he returns to a neutral state.
To restore Spiegel to a neutral state in Sniper Elite: Resistance, players can just step away momentarily by exploring different areas of the map or engaging in various other tasks. This could involve completing another objective within Mission 4 or searching for hidden collectibles scattered around the level. Whatever method the player prefers, it won’t take long before Spiegel is neutral again and descends to the lower level near the dam.
Use a Bottle & Destroy a Platform
Once Spiegel is balanced and positioned at the bottom level of the dam, players are advised to utilize a step-ladder to reach that lower level. These step-ladders can be found on both ends of the dam, specifically at the east and west sides. The locations of these ladders have been clearly indicated on the enclosed map for your convenience.
For enthusiasts of third-person shooters, you’re now supposed to stealthily move towards the center of the lower area, keeping an eye out for a tiny wooden platform jutting out from the metal walkway. When Spiegel is near this wooden platform, players should toss a bottle onto it. This will lure the enemy onto the platform, and you should swiftly shoot one of its supports to make Spiegel fall off the dam and die when it collapses due to the weakened support.
