How to Make Teleporters & Fast Travel in Hytale

Teleporters are incredibly helpful in Hytale, letting players travel long distances instantly. This makes getting around the game world and returning home quick and easy, so it’s a good idea to build a teleporter network early on. Luckily, they aren’t too hard to build, and this guide will help you start fast traveling in Hytale.

This guide was created when Hytale first launched in early access, so some information may become outdated as the game evolves.

How to Make Teleporters in Hytale

Arcanist’s Workbench

To begin creating Teleporters, you’ll first need to build an Arcanist’s Workbench. This requires gathering materials, so be prepared to do some mining to get everything you need.

  1. Build a standard Workbench through the Pocket Crafting menu. That menu is accessed by pressing Tab and clicking on the hammer next to the character portrait.
  2. Upgrade the Workbench to Tier 2 with 30 Copper Ingots, 20 Iron Ingots, and 20 Linen Scraps. Those ingots can be obtained by smelting the associated ores, which can be found underground, in a Furnace, and Linen Scraps are earned by defeating humanoid enemies.
  3. Craft the Arcanist’s Workbench at the upgraded Workbench with 10 Thorium Ingots, 30 Linen Scraps, and 20 Essence of the Void. The Thorium Ore that is smelted into ingots can be found underground in the desert biome, while Essence of the Void are earned by dispatching the void enemies that appear at night.

Okay, so once you’ve built an Arcanist’s Workbench, you can start making Teleporters! You’ll need two Azure Kelp, eight Azure Logs, and ten Stones. Getting those Azure things means heading to the Azure Forests – they look like blue-green patches on your map. Once you’re there, just chop down the trees to get the logs, and keep an eye out for those cool purple and white flowers growing near the water – those are the Kelp!

If you can’t make Teleporters using the Arcanist’s Workbench, try collecting more memories at the Forgotten Temple.

Make Links

Once you’ve built Teleporters, you can set up fast travel by placing one where you’d like to go. Name it something you’ll remember, then place a second Teleporter anywhere else on the map. When you interact with the second Teleporter, choose the first one from the menu at the top. Now, simply walk through either Teleporter to instantly travel between the two locations.

Players can build a network of Teleporters to quickly travel anywhere on the map. You can easily change where a Teleporter sends you using a simple menu, letting you instantly jump to any building or structure you’ve placed.
