To avoid losing your progress in Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined, it’s a good idea to save manually from time to time. The game offers two simple ways to do this, and this guide will walk you through both so you can easily save your game.
Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined automatically saves your progress, and you’ll see a gold quill icon in the bottom-right corner when it’s happening. Though this is convenient, it’s still a good idea to manually save your game whenever you can, particularly before stopping playing.
How to Make a Save in Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined
Churches
Okay, so if you’re looking to save your game, the first places you’ll want to hit are the churches. They show up on both your map and the mini-map with a little silver icon, so keep an eye out! You can find them in pretty much every town in Dragon Quest 7, even right at the start in Pilchard Bay.
If you move your cursor over a town you’ve been to on the region map, it will show you what’s available there. This makes it simple to find towns with specific buildings, like a church, and you can use the zoom spell to travel there quickly.
Once you find a church, go inside and talk to the person at the altar. Choose the “Confession (Save)” option, then select the adventure log slot where you want to save your game. Wait for a message confirming the save is finished.
At the church, players can talk to an NPC who offers two helpful services: divination, which shows how close each teammate is to leveling up, and purification, which removes poison from any poisoned party member.
Sacred Statues
Players can save their progress by finding and using special statues called Sacred Statues. You’ll find these statues, which look like angels, near dungeons. To save, interact with a statue and choose the “Confession (Save)” option. The first statue appears as you enter the Rainbow Mines.
In Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined, finding and interacting with Sacred Statues is a great way to fully heal your entire party’s HP and MP, which is especially helpful during battles. These statues also let you check your characters’ progress towards their next level, giving you a hint of how much further they need to go.
