Okay, so when I head back to Ebisugaoka for the second time, I need to get to Rinko’s place. It’s way over on the right, past the fields, but honestly, I found a shortcut! Instead of going that way, I can actually head north on the map and hit up the Sennensugi Shrine. The best part? No enemies to worry about on the way up!
When you arrive, check to the left to find the Key to Sakuko’s Mailbox and a Letter from Sakuko’s Mother. The letter reveals that Sakuko’s mother warned her not to talk to anyone about strange voices she was hearing.
How to Open Igarashi Residence’s Mailbox in Silent Hill f
To get the key, head back to Sukaku’s house at the beginning of the area. You’ll need to go all the way back, carefully avoiding enemies – especially if you’re playing on a harder difficulty. Once you reach the Hokora, follow the road and turn left. At the end of that path, turn right and continue until you reach the Chizuruya General Store. From there, turn right again and follow the path to the area outside Sukaku’s house.
You’ll encounter several enemies near the Mailbox, but you can avoid their attacks. Interacting with the Mailbox will give you the Hospital Letter and the Omamori [Spider] charm. This charm is very useful because it reduces the durability loss when using Light Attacks, which is good since you’ll often be using weapons that can break.
