How to Open Sewer Tunnels in Atomfall—Where to Find Sewer Tunnels Key

At the start of Atomfall, there’s a sealed doorway leading to the Sewer Tunnels. It might not be apparent how to open this door at first, but by conducting some sleuthing and thorough exploration, we’ve managed to solve this puzzle for you. We’ve put together a concise and user-friendly guide to help you out.

Exploring the diverse landscapes surrounding Atomfall in a survival RPG is one of its key attractions. The allure lies in scouting an infested house, battling a band of ruthless Outlaws, and steering clear of radioactive rodents. Encountering numerous locked doors and chambers, the Sewer Tunnels will likely be your first challenge.

They’re not compulsory to enter early on, but it would be nice to look around.

How to Open Locked Sewer Tunnels in Slatten Dale

To gain access to the Sewer Tunnels located in Slatten Dale, which are securely locked, you’ll have to locate a unique key that can be purchased from a vendor.

In my experience with Atomfall, the key can’t be found, and there are two ways to obtain the key:

  • Trade with a merchant called Molly Jowett
  • Kill Molly Jowett and take the key.

To your left, beyond the closed and locked door, you’ll find a message affixed to the wall. This note reveals where she is currently situated and informs us that she possesses the actual key to this very door. It seems we must make our way to see her.

Where to Find Sewer Tunnels Key in Atomfall

The Sewer Tunnel’s key is hidden with Merchant Molly Jewett, who can be found at the Slatten Dale Trader Camp. Her exact location is marked by the coordinates 26.4 East and 79.1 North.

Her message indicates she’s located near the foot of a slope. Following this location will guide you towards descending the hill, leading you to Trader Camp. Upon arrival, you’ll encounter Molly and have the opportunity to trade with her for the Sewer Tunnels key.

In order to have a balanced deal, ensure you’re trading enough valuable items or accumulating sufficient value in what you trade. Once you reach that point, the key will be yours. Alternatively, you can eliminate Molly and grab her key (along with all her other items) without paying anything, but remember that doing so would permanently cut off any future trading opportunities with Molly throughout the game. Weigh your options wisely before making a decision.

Grabbing that key I’ve been searching for, I make my way back to the old, lock-bound door. With the key in hand, I slide it in the lock and turn it, feeling the satisfying click as it opens. Now, with a sense of adventure coursing through me, I step into the dimly lit Sewer Tunnels, ready for whatever lies ahead!
