Guide for Playing Elden Ring Nightreign Solo Offline
Elden Ring Nightreign, the globally released game, is now accessible on consoles and Steam. Despite being primarily designed as a multiplayer experience with three players in a single run, it can also be played individually offline. However, the game may not make this clear, often attempting to matchmake even when you wish to play alone. This guide will walk you through playing Elden Ring Nightreign solo, turning on offline mode, and additional tips.
How to play Elden Ring Nightreign solo
To begin playing Elden Ring Nightreign alone, follow these steps when starting a new game:
1. Launch the game and complete the tutorial until you reach the Roundtable Hold hub.
2. To initiate a solo expedition, first press Triangle (PlayStation) or Y (Xbox) to open the menu.
3. Instead of selecting “Commence Expedition”, use your right shoulder button (R1 on PlayStation or Y on Xbox) to navigate to Matchmaking Settings.
4. In the settings, choose Single Player from the bottom option. The “Commence Expedition” button will now read “Commence Solo Expedition”.
5. Press Triangle/Y again to start your solo adventure in Elden Ring Nightreign. Here’s a visual guide for reference: [insert step-by-step gallery]
How to play Elden Ring Nightreign offline
Whenever you initiate Elden Ring Nightreign, it automatically links to its online server. If you prefer to play Elden Ring Nightreign offline or when using Steam Deck outside your home, simply access the game’s System menu and choose Network. From there, adjust the Elden Ring Nightreign Launch Setting to “Offline Mode.” This will allow you to engage in the game without an internet connection. I often use this setting because it allows me to manually sign in from the main screen when I want to reconnect online while playing.

The action role-playing game Elden Ring Nightreign can now be played on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and personal computers via Steam. For comprehensive guides, look here and for a specific Steam Deck feature, check this out.
