While not one of the official hobbies in Heartopia, playing instruments is a fun way to pass the time – whether you’re waiting for something to happen or just hanging out with friends. You can play freely or use music scores to learn specific songs.

How to Get Music Scores in Heartopia

How to Get and Complete the New Song to Summon the Astralis Quest

To start collecting music scores in Heartopia, you’ll first need to complete the Astralis in Flower Field quest. During this quest, you’ll receive a Lute from Vernie, which is your first instrument. Getting the Lute unlocks the Instrument and Music Score section in your Daily Life Guide, allowing you to access more music.

First, open the Town Guide app on your smartwatch. The app should automatically open to the “Instrument and Music Score” section. If not, simply scroll through the app until you find it. Once you’ve found the “Instrument and Music Score” section, tap the “Accept” button located in the bottom right corner of the screen.

Players will receive a call from Ka Ching, starting the “New Song to Summon the Astralis” quest. Ka Ching will provide a series of numbers that she believes represent the song’s melody, but you don’t actually need to play those specific numbers to finish the quest. Feel free to play any sequence you like, and then continue following the quest steps until you reach Annie. She will then give you seven complete music scores.

How to Use Music Scores in Heartopia

To play music, you’ll need to use an instrument. When you see the instrument’s keys appear on your screen, click the icon that looks like a sheet of music with a note on it – it’s in the upper right corner. This will take you to a screen where you can choose from all the songs you have.

Every piece of music has a different level of difficulty, length, key signature, and suggested instruments. You can see which instruments are recommended for a piece by clicking the little icon that looks like a lute next to the difficulty and page count. Once you’ve selected a piece, click the “Play Music” button to go back to the previous screen with the music displayed.

Your score is now displayed at the top of the screen. Once you finish playing a set of notes, tap the arrow button to advance to the next page of the music.

Notice if the notes above a number in a score are small circles. These circles help tell the difference between higher and lower notes that share the same number.

How to Get Instruments in Heartopia

You can buy instruments from Annie, and sometimes from the Collector. There are also 3 instruments players can get without paying.

  • Players will receive a lute from Vernie in theAstralis in the Flower Field quest.
  • Eric gifts players a recorder at the end of the Astralis in Onsen Mountain quest.
  • A piano is the Day 3 gift for the 7-Day Sign-In Event.

If you’re looking for instruments, Annie’s Music Store is a convenient option, though it tends to be pricey. You can find Annie in the central plaza and access her store by speaking with her and choosing ‘Music Store’. She carries 14 different instruments, with prices varying from 3,800 to 195,000 Gold.

Okay, so before I buy anything from Annie, I always check to see if the Collector has the same instrument available during the Time-Limited Festival. Seriously, his prices are way cheaper, which saves me a ton of time and gold farming. It’s a total game changer!

You can occasionally find special, highly detailed instruments by trying your luck with the Gilded Acorn Exhibition’s gachas. These instruments are a real find for music lovers, but they’re also the rarest and most expensive in the game, as they require Exhibition Passes instead of gold to obtain.
