In Mecha Break, players get a chance to test-drive different mechs. Some players may excel more with the agile or moderately powerful mechs like Alysnes, while others might prefer the massive and sturdy juggernauts. The game features numerous heavy mechs, some designed for dealing damage and others for support roles. Tricera is an example of one such heavy mech.
The Tricera is categorized as a formidable, heavy defensive unit, effectively barricading zones, compelling adversary machines to retreat. It carries out this function in either of two manners: by taking the lead position or bolstering allies from behind with immense firepower. Numerous players fortunate enough to operate this mech will find it hard to let go of it.
Tricera’s Kit in Mecha Break
Tricera boasts a powerful array of attacks that can be launched simultaneously. This enables players to rain destruction on their opponents’ mech as they chase from behind, and if the opponents turn around, Tricera can transform into its Fortress Form, making them regret not stopping earlier. Although the game aims for fairness, encountering Tricera feels like a tough challenge.

Gatling Gun
A popular choice among many game enthusiasts, gatling guns serve as a primary weapon for their mechanized combat vehicles. Known for its high-capacity ammunition and substantial damage output, this weapon allows players to unleash a steady stream of firepower that penetrates through enemy armor and supports allies engaged in close-quarter fights.
Heavy Gatling Gun
Triceras Heavy Gatling Cannons pack a punch, piercing armor more efficiently and quickly. On the downside, they require a considerable amount of time to deploy. Interestingly, these heavy guns are capable of defending against incoming missiles even when there’s no designated target.
Use both at the same time for the optimum amount of performance.
Howitzer
This powerful artillery piece, known as a Howitzer, is a formidable weapon that leaves enemies dazed, pushes them away, and halts their actions. Remarkably, it can still be deployed even when both the Gatling Gun and Heavy Gatling Gun are in use.
Fortress Form
In this scenario, Tricera will temporarily freeze in position, transforming into a stationary form. Despite being immobile, it retains all of its capabilities. Its defensive abilities significantly increase, making it nearly invulnerable to attacks from enemies attempting to engage in combat.
Engaging this form upon collision has the capability to momentarily disorient adversaries. Moreover, while active, it comes equipped with drones that intercept incoming rockets.
Or more concisely:
Upon impact, activating this form stuns enemies and defends against incoming missiles with drones during its activation.
The Fortress Form possesses a finite protective barrier to absorb harm, which then gradually restores itself once the transformation is ended.
Repair Drone
While in Fortress Form, Tricera can use Repair Drone to heal itself and allies.
Tips & Tricks for Playing Tricera in Mecha Break
Previously mentioned, Tricera excels in two strategies for dominating PvP encounters:
1. Acting as a supportive ally by providing cover fire from the rear.
2. Securing key locations by firmly controlling the central point.
Rear Gunner
Instead of alternating between ranged and melee energy weapons like most mechs, Tricera stands out as a slower, bulkier model. It’s often challenging to reach critical spots before your teammates have secured the area. To contribute effectively, focus on providing damage support by firing your primary weapon into any ongoing skirmish that an ally is engaged in. This can boost their chances of winning the fight.
When an adversary targets you, transition into “Fortress Mode” as a protective measure to lessen the impact. Then, choose from two different tactics based on the circumstances that unfold.
- If an ally is low on health or they are fighting another mech, continue to fire and assist your ally to help them overcome their foe. Then push back your own attacker.
- If no ally within sight is in immediate danger, push back against your own attacker while in fortress mode. Hold down both Gatling Guns and use your Howitzer to unleash everything you have. Scaring them into a retreat that they will likely not complete before being destroyed.
Locking Down the Point
As a strategic player, I make sure to anticipate the enemy’s movements and position myself accordingly. When they approach, I unleash my firepower, aiming to dissuade them from continuing their advance and hinder their progress. This tactic often leads enemies into a focused pursuit, causing them to overlook crucial objectives in their eagerness for combat. Instead of securing these objectives, they may find themselves engaged in skirmishes with our allies, which can ultimately impact the outcome of the match.
Experimenting with various strategies in PvP (Player vs Player) combat significantly boosts the enjoyment factor, turning this game into one that many players might rank among their top choices for mech games.
