Hytale is out now in early access! You can enjoy the game solo, but it’s much more fun playing with friends or on a multiplayer server.

How to Invite Friends in Hytale
You can invite friends to your Hytale game by going to the Online Play settings in the pause menu while you’re in your world.
You can invite friends to play Hytale with you while you’re online, much like in Minecraft. However, they won’t be able to join if you’re not playing. When you invite someone, you’ll need to share a code that includes sensitive information like your IP address, so only share it with trusted friends.
To invite friends to your game in Hytale, follow these steps:
- Open the menu by pressing the ESC button.
- Select the ‘Online Play’ option from the menu.
- Toggle the ‘Allow Other Players to Join’ option to ‘On.’
- Choose a password for the world if you want to lock access.
- Toggle the option to include the password in the Share Code to On, if wanted.
- Hit the ‘Save’ button to create a Share Code.
- Select the ‘Copy to Clipboard’ button.
- Share the code with friends to invite them into your game.
How to Join Servers in Hytale
With Hytale servers, you can still play the game even when the person who normally hosts isn’t online, as long as the server itself is running.
Unlike playing with a friend who joins your game, dedicated servers stay running all the time, letting players connect and disconnect whenever they want. But running a server can be expensive, and setting one up can be tricky if you’re not familiar with the process.
Luckily, many server providers are available, so players will have plenty of servers to choose from in Hytale.
Follow the steps below to join servers in Hytale.
- Open the Hytale launcher and load into the game, ensuring you have signed into your account.
- In the Main Menu, click the ‘Servers’ option.
- If you have been sent a code, select the ‘Join Via Code’ option and input the code you received.
- Alternatively, select the ‘Direct Connect’ option and enter the Connection Address.
- When inputted correctly, you can now launch into the server world at any point.
