How to Reach Limestone Cave in Code Vein 2

In Code Vein 2, players trying to defeat the hero Lyle will need to find the Limestone Cave and its retainer. Although the game map shows where the cave is located, some players are having trouble actually getting inside. This guide will help you find your way to the Limestone Cave in Code Vein 2.

Okay, so the game actually tells you how to get to the Limestone Cave in the quest description. Honestly, I should really start paying more attention to those things when I’m totally lost – it’s probably saving me a lot of running around!

How to Reach Limestone Cave in Code Vein 2

Go to Forward Base Two & Ride the South Bridge Elevator

To get to the Limestone Cave, start by going back to Forward Base Two – you’ve been there before during Lyle’s story. From there, head east along the path beside the Forward Base Two Mistle, and take the first left you see to find the South Bridge Elevator. Take the elevator all the way down.

When you step out of the elevator, turn right (heading east) to enter the Crystal Grotto. This small dungeon connects directly to the Limestone Cave, and you’ll find the Limestone Cave Mistle as soon as you enter that area.

Don’t rush through the Crystal Grotto! It’s full of useful items for upgrading weapons and gathering resources. Be sure to destroy the map jammer there – it will show you the entire cave layout.

In the Limestone Cave

Shortly after entering the Limestone Cave, you’ll face the Ravenous Predator – the enemy you need to defeat for the objective “defeat the retainer in the Limestone Cave.” Although you can leave after winning that fight, the cave continues beyond the battle area, and it’s worth exploring further to find several useful items.

  • A Golden Nectar, which can be used at a Mistle to increase the number of available heals.
  • A Regional Pathos that provides an Attack Power and Recoverable Damage Reduction boost.
  • The Gaia Impact combat formae, which can be equipped to hammers and allows you to perform a shockwave-producing slam attack.
  • The Crushing Might combat formae, which can be equipped to any weapon and temporarily makes it easier to break an opponent’s guard.

Past the Ravenous Predator in the Limestone Cave, you can find Tender Crimson Stones and Pure Platinum. These materials are used to improve your weapons and Jails.
