Popular Japanese singer Akiko Wada appears in Yakuza Kiwami 3 as herself, playing a famous in-game celebrity named Akko-san. She has her own TV show and a dedicated fanbase. Players controlling Kiryu can encounter her, hear her sing a beautiful version of the popular song “Baka Mitai,” and even hire her as a Haisai Girl.

How to Find & Complete Substory #17: Leave It All To Akko-san! In Okinawa!
Step 1 of Recruiting Akko-san
Chapter 4 takes you to Downtown Ryukyu. As soon as you’re near the Kariyushi Arcade, a cutscene will start, introducing you to Akko-san. Just walk up to her – you’ll get an interview, but your choices during the conversation don’t affect anything.
Next, Kiryu will accompany Akko through the Public Market and defeat a group of thugs. The scene concludes with Akko performing a song – many players suggest choosing “Baka Mitai.” Completing this sequence finishes Akko’s initial substory, but you’ll need to finish one more substory to unlock her as a Haisai Girl.
How to Find & Complete Substory #18: Leave It All To Akko-san! In Tokyo!
Step 2 of Recruiting Akko-san
After finishing Substory #17, “Leave It All To Akko-san,” and progressing through the Bad Boy Dragon questline in Okinawa until the Haisai Girls establish their base in Kamurocho, you’ll unlock the next step. Specifically, you need to reach Infamy Rank 4 with the Haisai Girls, which allows you to complete the “Total Annihilation: Okinawa’s Last Stand” quest.
You’ll soon receive an email from Dokuzawa, typically at the beginning of Chapter 6, letting you know the Haisai Girls have set up their base in Kamurocho. After that, head to the Tenkaichi St. Entrance in Kamurocho. You’ll see a cutscene where Kiryu remembers to send a text to Akko-san.
Next, you need to meet Akko at Sushi Gin, a small restaurant located north of W Showa Street. Once you find her, you’ll do karaoke together. First, cheer Akko on during her song – you can choose to be casual or enthusiastic, and your performance doesn’t affect the outcome. Then, it’s your turn to sing, and you can follow the same approach.
Following their karaoke outing, Kiryu and Akko-san will encounter a group of thugs and get into a fight. After dealing with them, they’ll meet the Haisai Girls, and Akko-san will be asked to join the gang.
