Taking care of pets in Heartopia requires a lot of work, so getting your first one means taking on a big responsibility. You’ll need to feed, clean, and play with your pet to ensure they stay happy and healthy. It’s normal to feel a little overwhelmed at first, and that’s perfectly fine – you can always board your pet if you need a break.
Boarding your pets lets you take a vacation from pet care. It’s helpful if you need a break from responsibility, or even want to try out a different pet – remember, once you adopt from Mrs. Joan, you can’t return them! We’ll explain how pet boarding works in Heartopia and what benefits it offers.
How to Replace Your Pets in Heartopia

To board your pet at Heartopia, you’ll first need to earn 3,000 growth points. Once you’ve reached that milestone, interact with your pet and choose the “Go Out” option. With your pet following you, take it to Mrs. Joan’s Pet Store. There, interact with the blue shelf near the reception desk and select “Pet Boarding”. This will allow you to board a pet for 20,000 Gold and see your currently boarded pets.
Having trouble earning growth points in Heartopia? Simply spend more quality time with your pet – play with them, feed them, and keep them clean. We’ve found that feeding your pet is the quickest way to gain points, though it may still take a couple of days to reach the 3,000 needed.
You can take your boarded pets back for free after 6 am the next day.
