How to Respec Skills in Black Myth: Wukong

As an avid gamer with countless hours spent battling bosses and tweaking builds, I can confidently say that the respec feature in Black Myth: Wukong has been nothing short of a godsend for this Soulslike enthusiast. The ability to reclaim and redistribute my Sparks allows me to experiment fearlessly, which is particularly important when you’re as clumsy as I am and find yourself repeatedly falling to the same boss.

In games with role-playing (RPG) aspects, particularly Soulslike games where your character build matters, the freedom to customize skills and later modify those choices is crucial. This flexibility encourages experimentation and offers a chance for improvement, even for players like me who often face the same boss multiple times. Here’s how to respec in Black Myth: Wukong!

How to Respec Your Character

As a gamer, if you’re not feeling satisfied with your character build in Black Myth: Wukong and find that your skills aren’t aligning with your preferred playstyle, don’t worry! You can easily respec your character by seeking out a Keeper’s Shrine. From there, select “Self-Advance” from the menu and choose “Reignite the Sparks.” This magical process will enable you to reclaim the Sparks you’ve already spent, giving you another chance to customize your character according to your playstyle preferences!

Here are two methods for you: Firstly, you can gather all the sparks simultaneously by activating the central HUD prompt. Alternatively, you may select specific skill trees and recover the sparks one at a time. The second option is beneficial when you’re not satisfied with just one skill, as it lets you transfer those sparks to different areas without having to completely rebuild your entire skill set from scratch.

When to Respec

In Black Myth: Wukong, you can adjust your character’s build and playing style at no cost with the respec feature, which means you can adapt your gameplay according to different situations more effectively. For instance, if you find yourself consistently losing against the same boss, it might be beneficial to respec your character afterwards. I personally did this after succumbing to the White Clad Noble on multiple occasions.

Another option could be: You might consider respeccing if you find yourself feeling vulnerable, as you haven’t adequately boosted your Health Pool with the Spark in Robust Constitution.

The game hands out Sparks like candy, so don’t be afraid to experiment!
