How to Reveal the Full Map (& Map Icons) in Code Vein 2

Code Vein 2 features a large map broken down into six main locations, each with several smaller areas. When you begin the game, most of the map is hidden, making it tricky to find your way around and discover important locations. Luckily, uncovering the map is simple – this guide will show you how to do it.

I’ve also included a breakdown of what all those icons on the map mean once you start exploring and uncovering different areas. It’s super helpful to know what each one represents!

How to Reveal Map in Code Vein 2

Visit Purple Circles

When players open the in-game map, they’ll see lots of glowing purple circles. These mark ‘map jammers’ – destroying them reveals more of the surrounding area on the map. Usually, these jammers look like trees with pink leaves, but sometimes players will need to defeat a pink, tree-like enemy to clear the area marked by a purple circle.

Dungeons contain devices called map jammers. Breaking these jammers unlocks complete maps of the dungeon, making exploration much simpler. Keep an eye out for them while you’re inside, though you won’t find any markers showing exactly where they are.

Map Icons in Code Vein 2

Discovering the map simplifies navigation and unlocks icons showing key locations. Be sure to check out these marked spots as you explore – they’re important!

Icon Details

Entrance

This icon marks the entrances to subterranean areas.

Golden Nectar

Players can find Golden Nectar at these locations. Golden Nectar can be used at Mistles to increase regeneration count (the number of heals available).

Regional Pathos

This icon marks Regional Pathos, which, once activated, provide benefits to the player when they are in associated areas.

Tower of Regeneration

Players can find Golden Blood Beads at Towers of Regeneration. Golden Blood Beads can be used at Mistles to increase recovery amount (the amount replenished by a heal).

As I explore the world, I’ve noticed dungeons and other cool spots popping up on my map. They don’t all have the same icon, but they’re actually pretty easy to spot because they each look unique. You can beat the game without checking them all out, but honestly, it’s worth it to go inside. I’ve found some awesome combat abilities, weapons, and other useful gear in those places – definitely helps me get stronger!
