How to Ride the Rhino in DK Bananza (Rambi Rumble Guide)

In Donkey Kong Bananza, players can encounter Rambi, DK’s rhino companion, hanging out with Cranky in each level. However, they can only ride Rambi in one of these levels. The racing stage allows players to climb onto the unruly rhinoceros and showcase their riding abilities against two other familiar characters for a shot at winning Banandium Gems and advancing to the next level.

Overcoming Diddy and Dixie in the game “Donkey Kong Bananza” might seem challenging initially due to their faster base speed compared to Donkey Kong and his companion rhino. However, as players learn how to ride Rambi effectively and utilize his unique skills, defeating Dixie and Diddy becomes much more manageable.

How to Ride Rambi in Donkey Kong Bananza

Operating Rambi is generally straightforward. Players merely need to manipulate the left and right analog stick to steer, while the A button enables jumping. However, it’s crucial to master Rambi’s Lift Off ability. To activate this feature, simply press ZR after riding through a specific amount of terrain. When the meter is full, using Lift Off creates a rainbow bridge constructed from Liftoff Ore, allowing players to bypass substantial parts of the course.

How to Beat Diddy and Dixie in the Racing Layer Rambi Rumble

To conquer Diddy and Dixie effectively, make full use of Rambi’s Lift Off ability to bypass the initial portion of the track. Begin by colliding with the ground extensively to fill the barrels attached to Rambi’s sides, then utilize Lift Off to generate a rainbow bridge to the left side. By targeting the pink tower in the map center, you can avoid the first significant bend, which should provide a substantial advantage. Soon after, you can also apply Liftoff to ascend to the higher part of the course and collect some gold triangles; however, whether this second shortcut saves time is up for debate.

As I soar across the tracks, I’ve learned that the ramps I craft using my liftoffs persist throughout the race. This means I can reuse the ones I build during my initial lap for the final two laps. However, it’s crucial to remember to leap onto these ramps (or construct smaller ones) rather than plowing into their sides head-on, as that could send Rambi crashing right through them. Fortunately, I can also make use of bridges crafted by Diddy and Dixie if needed, but with proper placement of my own ramps, I shouldn’t have to rely on them much.
