I’m really excited about Viewfinder! From what I understand, you’ll be exploring different places and solving puzzles to unlock a teleporter – that’s how you get back to the main area. It sounds like you can finish the game in a few hours, but it’s not meant to be played all at once, so knowing how the saving system works is key. I’m glad the developers thought about that!
This guide explains how saving works in Viewfinder, so you can be sure you won’t lose your game progress when you quit.
How to Save in Viewfinder
It’s frustrating for players to lose their progress in a game, so it’s important to learn how saving works from the beginning to prevent that from happening.
In Viewfinder, you won’t find a traditional save button. The game doesn’t allow manual saving. Instead, it automatically saves your progress frequently, so you don’t need to worry about losing any work.
When Does Viewfinder Save?

As a big fan of Viewfinder, I’ve learned you can’t manually save the game, so it’s super important to know when it does save automatically. Basically, the game saves for you whenever you finish a level or head back to the main hub using the teleporter. It’s good to keep that in mind so you don’t lose progress!
To exit Viewfinder, players need to either finish the current level or use a teleporter. Since levels are fairly short, you won’t lose much progress even if you need to close the game quickly.
