At last, cross-saving has been introduced to Vampire Survivors, enabling players to synchronize their advancements and achievements across diverse devices. Regrettably, there are certain limitations that have been established, and PlayStation gamers will find the current cross-save feature in Vampire Survivors particularly disheartening.
For quite a while now, there’s been talk about cross progression in the game Vampire Survivors. However, it’s finally here, coinciding with the free Emerald Diorama expansion that incorporates content from Square Enix’s SaGa RPG series. The process of setting up cross save for Vampire Survivors is incredibly easy, and it’s possible that more platforms will be supported in future updates as well.
How to Set Up Cross Save in Vampire Survivors
In order to establish cross progression within Vampire Survivors and transfer your save game across different platforms, it’s necessary for players to initiate a Poncle account first. You can do this by clicking on the cloud icon situated at the top-left corner in the main menu of Vampire Survivors. This icon will provide you with an opportunity to create an account and synchronize all your data.
After setting up your Poncle account, you can move data from Vampire Survivors between various platforms. To do this, log into your Poncle account, navigate to “My Account” > “Manage Data” > “Save Data,” and then click the “Save” button to upload a save file to the Vampire Survivors cloud storage. To load this data onto another platform, simply repeat these steps on that device and opt for “Load Data” instead of “Save Data.” Please note that cloud saves do not update automatically; you’ll need to manually transfer your save files when switching platforms.
In simple terms, while the DLC expansion “Ode to Castlevania” isn’t compatible with “Vampire Survivors”, you can still transfer your game saves across platforms. However, if you don’t own the DLC on the system where you’re playing, you won’t be able to access it. The DLC will remain locked until your save data is moved to a device where you’ve purchased the relevant expansions. Additionally, some achievements may unlock when you transfer your “Vampire Survivors” save data, but this depends on the platform you’re using.
At present, “Vampire Survivors” offers cross-saving functionality across Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox, Android, and iOS platforms. However, Nintendo Switch compatibility is yet to be released. Regrettably, cross-save isn’t available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 due to a last-minute legal issue the development team has run into. It’s unlikely that cross-save will arrive on PlayStation consoles soon, but it may become possible in the future. The same applies to the “Vampire Survivors” version available on Apple Arcade, which also lacks cross-save support at the moment.
