In many survival games, resting or sleeping is a good way to regain health, energy, or fast-forward time. While HumanitZ offers many ways to interact with the world, players will quickly discover they can’t use beds to rest.
This guide explains how sleep functions in HumanitZ. It covers how players can rest, and what benefits they’ll receive – like restoring stats or advancing time – by doing so.
How to Sleep in HumanitZ

In HumanitZ, players need to make sure their character gets enough sleep. If they don’t, their character will become tired and unhappy, which will cause their stats to decline more quickly.
There are plenty of ways to find some rest in HumanitZ:
- Open the Emote Wheel (Z) and select the “Sleep” emote. The player’s character will then lie on the ground and rest.
- Build a bed. To do this, open the Build Menu, open the Other tab, and make a bed using 10 Wood and 20 Nails.
- Put down a tent or a sleeping bag and rest inside.
Sleeping isn’t just about avoiding tiredness in the game – it also helps you get through the night more quickly. From 9 PM to 6 AM, time passes much faster while your character is asleep. You can’t completely skip the night, but you can speed it up significantly.
If players go to bed before 9 PM, the game’s clock won’t speed up when the hour changes. To make time move faster in the game, they need to go to sleep anytime between 9 PM and 6 AM.
When players hear the clock tick, it means that time is moving faster.
How to Skip Time in HumanitZ

You can’t fast-forward through the entire night in HumanitZ. However, the game includes a command that lets you jump to a specific time of day, skipping ahead without waiting.
Players can adjust the in-game time by opening the chat box (press ENTER), typing “/adminw” to access the Admin Menu, and then choosing either “Time-” to go back or “Time+” to advance time. They can use the reset button to return time to its normal speed at any point. Pressing Esc will take them back to the game.
This video demonstrates how to get a full night’s sleep and also explains how to adjust the in-game time using console commands.
