As a seasoned adventurer with countless hours spent traversing treacherous terrains and battling formidable foes, I’ve found myself utterly captivated by the world of Towers of Aghasba. The allure of restoring a beautiful, yet corrupted, land has been my driving force, and I’ve come to know the Withered Zones all too well.

In Towers of Aghasba, players are tasked with a challenging mission: They must work to revive a breathtaking world that has been taken over by malevolent creatures known as the Withered, along with a poisonous gas that makes survival nearly impossible. However, there’s a silver lining: By restoring the magnificent temples of Aghasba, players can drive out the evil presence from the mainland, but this task involves braving the toxic and perilous Withered Zones.

In the polluted zones known as Withered areas within the game ‘Towers of Aghasba’, players must show creativity and speed to eliminate the harmful threat lurking in each region before they succumb to the toxic smog. Mastering survival techniques for Withered Zones in Towers of Aghasba will boost your odds of purifying the island.

Where To Find Withered Areas in Towers of Aghasba

In the opening stages of “Towers of Aghasba,” it becomes clear that the Shimu are attempting to reclaim their ancestral land. However, they find that Aghasba has been overtaken by malevolent Withered creatures during their absence. Consequently, players will have to explore these unknown lands in order to return Aghasba to its previous splendor.

To locate a Blighted Region, move beyond the edge of your map where there’s no green marking since it remains unexplored due to the unfinished temple reconstruction. You’ll recognize it because the screen turns dim gray and you’ll notice a strong wind sound. Additionally, a small, circular gauge will show up near your health bar, indicating your resistance to Blight Toxins. When this gauge depletes, your health will rapidly drop until you expire.

How To Survive Withered Territories

As a gamer, I’ve found myself often struggling in the withered zones at first due to their toughness. But here’s what I’ve learned to do for survival – and maybe, just maybe, it will give me more time to restore the portal using my Amity. This, in turn, makes it easier to get to the temple and rebuild it. In essence, there are two primary tactics that work wonders:

  • Withered Antidotes
  • Clear Sky Plants

Clear Sky plants stand out distinctly because they radiate a vibrant blue color in blighted regions. To utilize them, just move close and hit the ‘harvest’ button, which will refill your resistance against the blight. Smaller plants offer a reasonable duration of resistance, whereas harvesting from the large trees provides considerably more time to endure the mist.

Alternatively, you can also use Withered Antidotes to replenish your tolerance meter. These will be available once you cross the Lutoro Bridge to Midhaven and establish the settlement there. You will need to build an Alchemy to have the option to craft these elixirs, as well as the recipes. To make them, you’ll need the following:

  • Simple Withered Antidote – one Mushroom Cap, three Withered Tar
  • Greater Withered Antidote – one Reapershroom, five Withered Tar.

To gather Reapershroom, head to the arid region in the western part of the map. You can dig it up using an Iron Shovel, or obtain them as drops from defeating the towering Withered Snags (these are giant hand-like creatures).

Additionally, you’ll find instructions for crafting the Greater Withered Elixir, offering immunity for a duration of 30 minutes. You can obtain this elixir once you’ve repaired the Sky Temple located in the north. To do so, you’ll need one Ichor, one Venom Sac, and one Giant Saliva.
